Course Curriculum Overview

3

As someone wishing to persue core finance roles like investement banking, this is something other colleges might not offeer as this college is specifically into finance, rest assured you will learn finance in depth and will learn subjects that are highly focused and applicable in ur finance career, The curriculum prepares you well and in depth for real world applications and the colleges also collaborates and encourages its students to persure proffesional courses like Charted Market Technician (CMT) and other courses like CFP and CFA. This makes you industry ready and on par with peers and competitors outside the college as well as within the college. i would personally suggest that the teaching methods of a few faculty be improved a bit, making the class more interactive

Internships Opportunities

3

The few which approached us yet are JP Morgan, BNY, CRISIL, Kaima Asset, BOI and many more, the internship opportunities this year seems a bit low, with most tasks in equity research, operations, credit ratings and sales

Placement Experience

2

after the first sem students have to sit for Summer Internship (SIP) and the median stipend for the same is not high and aroun Rs.10000. Few of the companies who visited yet are JP Morgan, BNY, Crisil and a few more, SIP process goes on until Dec . The highest stipend offered as of yet is 85000 per month and the lowest is unpaid. the college maintains a 100% placements every year, as for the final placemnets the process starts at same time, and much more companies come for placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have paid a fianl installment of Rs. 680000 in the Sem 1 which include academic fees which included Rs.445000 and the one time institute deposit of Rs.20000 which is refundable, Hostel Deposit of Rs.20000 which is again refundable , the hostel fee per anum of Rs.143000 and mess fees of Rs.52000, this was paid at the time of admission. In Sem 2 , we need to pay a total installment which include academic fees of Rs.497000, Mess fees of Rs.52000, which has to be paid on the 25th of November 2025. For the second years, in Sem 3, We had to pay a Final installment of 640000 and Mess fees of Rs.52000 and Hostel Fees of 143000 of Hostel which are subjected to an increase of upto 15% , and mess fees are subjected to an increase of upto 10 % each year, These will be communicated to us at commencement of the next academic year, for the final sem 4, we need to pay a final sum of Rs,497000 which are again subjected to an increase from the previous year with hostel fees being possibly hiked by 15% and mess fees by 10%. Government taxes are additional as and when applicable

Campus Life

5

This is one of the best things of the college, we share campus with some of the premier collges like SIBM and SIDTM and hence avail all the facilties they do, The books, journals and all services avaialble in the library are great , the collges has alot of sports grounds and dedicated zones for sports which also includes a swimming pool which is always well maintained , the gym and the pool both have coaches and trainers throughout the hours they are open

Hostel Facilities

5

THe hostels are need and tidy and cleant from time to time , we are offered 4 Sharing, 3 sharing and 2 sharing rooms based on the availabilty we are allocated our rooms. They have single bed rooms reserved for People having disability. Dinner can be arranged for doorstep delivery if told beforehand. They also provide services like an induction cooker, microwave and fridges for moth veg and non veg kept seperately

Admission

i applied for multiple colleges which include, Goa Institute of Management, TAPMI Manipal, and had given the interviews for the same, i failed to clear them and thus joined SSBF which i had kept as backup but was the second last option of the four with wellingkar being the last, as SSBf offered me more knowledge and a more focused curriculum , i joined this college because without an mba most candidates get only sales role and thus get stuck in the loop, a college who would give me such focused knowledge and understanding of finance would definetly push me ahead in terms of finding a good job in the longterm. As far as the admission process is concerned , the process included group activity and the second round included a personal interview with some of the senior faculty members. On parameters of comparison, SSBF stands higher interms of education and standard of living amoung the four colleges as listed, in terms of placement, i would rank it a 6/10 and on the lower side of the four

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty are great. They are well knowledgeable of the courses they teach and have a great control over the class and thier workings, Most of the faculty are doctors in their respective fields or most are persuing thier doctorate. While there is place for further improvement, SSBF will cover it up soon in the upcoming years. Dr Neha Parashar , the director of the college is an expert at her profession with an amazing hold on teaching students commanding attention and respect throughout her lecture. Some faculty members will need to improve their teaching methadology but all can be improvedin time . Throughout the two years, we will be having eight exams, with four Sems and four Mid sems in total. Most students cleared the exams with ease assume a 80% clearing without any backlogs, the exams have been easy and manageble as per what i have given . The course is highly relevent as they are niche fnance subjects and is highly applicable for finance professional

Interview Experience

4

Yes , we had a Group activity which tested our basic thought process towards the tasks assigned and were ecvaluated on the same , overall it was not so hard, The personal interview was not hard either, they just tested our communication and evaluation ability

Night Life

4

There are really good spots around the campus , with a dedicated Midnight Cafe which Opens at 11 30 at night and is really great in terms of taste and hygene, The campus doesnt have any restriction with respect to library time or hostel time as long as we are on campus.
