Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum at SSBF stands out for its industry relevance and holistic approach. It covers essential topics in banking, finance, fintech, and risk management making it the perfect foundation for a career in BFSI sector. The program structure smartly integrates real-world case studies, group projects, and workshops, which help build practical problem-solving skills and strategic thinking. Classes are regualrly updated based on industry and alumni feedback. Electives and value added sessions, including training in analytics and behavioral skils.

Internships Opportunities

5

The college provides internship opportunies with companies associated with finance which come with various roles like CRISIL, JP Morgan & Chase, Bank of New York, Bajaj Alliance and many more. This gives us the platform to further develop our skills and get that industry-ready experience.

Placement Experience

5

The placements of my college are very diverse with numerous roles in finance. Since this is a niche course, we go in depth in finance which further helps us further as well. There are a number of companies which come to college for placements which are mainly focused in finance.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for SSBF's MBA Banking and Finance program is about 10.5Lakhs per year, plus refundable deposits and around 1.43lakhs for hostel and 52000 for mess, with a small increase every year. Scholarships like merit-basedand industry scholarships are available, and semester toppers can get 50% off tution fees. The registration fees for snap is 2000 with additional 1000 for the college registration. The academic fees is 8.9 Lakhs per year, with refundable institute deposit of 20000, refundable hostel deposit of 20000, per annum hostel fees of 143000, per annum mess fees of 1.04 lakhs. Hostel fees can be increased up to 15% each year and mess can be increased up to 10% each year. Government taxes would be additional as and when applicable.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is very comforting as the campus is located in hills. It is very scenic with various things to do around the campus. Since there are 5 campuses on hilltop, there is always something happening which adds on to further socialization. The involvement of students in committees is necessary which gives us exposure and further builds our personality. The library here is accessible 24*7 and there is a variety of books and journals to choose from. We also have access of e-books and e-journals. The multiground is for sports.

Hostel Facilities

5

This is a residential course which means it is compulsory for every student to live at the campus hostel itself. We have 4 hostels here, Gulmohar and Lotus for boys and Petunia and Calendula for girls. The hostel facility is amazing and the meal quality is good too with various options in the menu.

Admission

I chose this college because of its curriculum along with the exposure in finance that it gives. The ceritifications are a cherry on top which include Bloomberg, NISM, free membership for Coursera. The admission process was very smooth, with online GDPI and it was facilitated very well. There was a support team as well which was always available on call and on mail as well.

Faculty

5

The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:17 so teachers get to know students and are usually very approachable if any doubt comes up. Most full-time professors and visiting faculty have great academic backgrounds and real industry experience, especially in subjects like Financial Services, Financial Management, Financial Accounting- this makes classes practical and helpful for placements. The faculty is a mix of young and seasoned educators, and most are friendly and helpful. The curriculum is regularly updated with feedback from industry and alumni so it is relevant to BFSI jobs. There is also a good range of electives, guest lectures, and mock interviews. Exams happen every semester. The exam system combines theory, practicals, projects, and presentations for a holistic evaluation.

Interview Experience

5

Yes, the selection procedure includes SNAP test followed by GD and PI for getting into the college. The process is held online and is very smooth, there is a team incase any support is needed. The topics for group discussion included current affairs, topics related to finance.

Night Life

5

The nightlife here is relaxed and social with students hanging out in midnight cafes, amphitheatre which stays open till midnight. After classes or even in the morning, many students head to the gym or join friends for group study in the library, which is open 24*7, so nights are mroe about bonding and unwinding with batchmates.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
