Admission
The other colleges i applied to didnt have finance as a core MBA course. The full time residential course made my decision for this college aure as it gave me more time to only focus on study here. The other colleges i applied to was SIBM,Pune and i faced rejection as my SNAP percentile was not upto mark for that college as that is the top college under SIU umbrella. SNAP test is to be given folled by a GDPI process and then the selection rounds done by college in merit lists.
Faculty
Faculty student ratio is 17:1. Each student get a faculty mentor who will guide them during their entire course year. The faculties of the college are good, and the visiting & teaching faculty are always helpful to us and are always available for us. Most of our doubts are solved and resolved at the earliest as the faculties are approable many times even outside their working hours. The exam pattern is simple- Internal and External. For Internal exams we usually have a mid semester tests and one assignment; these assignments are usually having practical approach like case study, scenarios and other things like fields vists.
Interview Experience
We had a GDPI round for admissions after the SNAP test, i dont recall the GD topic but the personal interview conducted was mostly around my work experience and why i wanted to join SSBF. The criteria was not disclosed to the students but the faculty judges you based on the answers given by you and are usually selected accordingly.
Night Life
We have a MNC which opens at 10pm for night munching and late night snacks. Gym & other sports amenities close at around 9pm and the public areas around hostels are accessible to students till 2 at night. Popular hangout spots are Aqua Point, helipad, Symbi Street cafe, Sandipani Homotel, Helipad and many more gardens all across the campus. There is complete safety in the campus the guards are posted at every corner to keep the students safe and they are really strict in terms of rules.
