Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculam is an updated form of previous years . but even it is an updated one it has a large number of things that has to be updated. the busy and stressfull schedule of this course didnt allow us to study and learn the course fully and meet the outcomes. even the curriculam has a large no of advantages it allows us to study the core of the course very deeply and may help the students to diverge to any stream as their wish as expected. the frequency of exams and schedule is very difficult and not so easy to follow up.

Internships Opportunities

4

the college provides internship offers and facilities for us fromthe 2nd year onwards. the companies like vipro, jio are providing internship opertunities . the projects like data sorting, problem debugging etc are the tasks given by them.

Placement Experience

4

The placement begin to start from 3 rd year onwards from differant companies including tcs , vipro, tata ,jio, etc. the no of students who are studiying from cs branch are placed more than other branches . but recently 2 or 3 years electronics and electrical students are also in the list of placements. the placed students share their initial package starrs around 20000 rs and increasing. my plans after graduation is to secure a govt job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure consists of 2 categories state merit ull fee and state merit normal fee. as there is huge differance between these two some of the students who paying full fee have to struggle to manage their studies and needs along with their other expences. i am a student who studies with the state merit full fee. state merit full fee is 75000 per year and normal fee is 40000 per year for graduates. eventhough our college comes under govt the fee structure is entirely differant from that of other govt colleges.

Campus Life

2

the campus life is really not so good as expected. but the annual and techichal fests like "ashwa "etc are really engaging, even the sports related facilities are limited the oppertunities for participate and go to any extent is really amazing. the libraries are good and witha varied collection of books and suppliments help us to improve ourselfs. many student groups such as band group , music, gym, dancers etc are also interesting.

Hostel Facilities

2

The colege hostel is really a poor place to live with and primary facilities like water and electricity are often interrupted. water quality is poor and water shortage is really hard to manage. there is no good facilities provided in rooms . the meal is not so bad . but some times it is really hard to eat. the locality of college hostel is a place surrounded by trees and plants and mosquitos are very disturbing.

Admission

The college is really not a choice for me . as the admission process through entrance exams to other govt colleges are restricted by my rank . i have only a choice to opt this college at my rank. this is the best chouce at my rank level. as the keam exam rank is vey poor i am forcefully willing to take this college . with a mentality of change this course and college i started studying but later on accept the reality and now continuing studies here.

Faculty

3

Some of the faculties are experianced and provide their service very well. But when we take a look at the teachers and students relationship i think it is not so good. maybe the age differance is a reason. but in terms of studying they are well developed and technichally updated. i like some of the teachers like malavika miss and reshma miss who are freshers but keeping a good relationship with students . their teaching methords are updated and easily conveyable. There are a total of 16 series exams and 8 semester exam through out the course. most of the students in our college are able to clear the exams but some of them are not. because of the busy shedule.

Night Life

2

The night life is really poor. there is no such places for hangouts. the gym cafeterias etc are really dead after night. and the strict hostel timings are a limitation for exploribg night life. 6: 30 pm is the restricted entry timing for hostells for both boys and girls. life around the campus in night are also boring .

Other Applied Colleges

NSS College of Engineering - [NSSCE] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

my entrance exam qualification rank is not enough to get an admission here.

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies - [KUFOS], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Food Technology)
Reviewed on May 11, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
