Course Curriculum Overview

3

The thing that influenced me to chose this computer science course is it's application in the real world it's importance in the emerging world and the social network n all this made me interested to chose this course. The curriculum set in the college for the course u have chose is fine wine whatever required basics are included here.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees per year is ?1,18,000. Whtever the fees I pay which is ?1,18,000 which includes the tution fees, registration fees ,lab fees etc. This fees is for the students who come through CET. The donations for other students varies accordingly with the courses and people from Konkani background gets high preference here and the fees are less compare to others . The scholarship i get is up to ?20,000 from SSP.

Campus Life

3

The Aakriti is an annual event that is held in our college for every once in a year and it will be for 3 long days . The other functions like Onam ,Ayudha puja are being celebrated here .And about the library there is a well maintained library and recently one of our student has made an application for our library registration n all and it's been implemented in our college library . Facilities and technological provision within the classroom is nothing there will be an club event and interested students are allowed to participate in that. Overview on sports there r facilities even for sports.

Admission

Being an Neet aspirant I failed to get a seat in the medical after taking a year drop and the next option that left for me was engineering.soo bcz of Neet my cet didn't went good and didn't get good ranking. Apart from this college the currently i am pursuing u have applied for 3 other colleges one is Sahyadri, st.joseph, and mite.due to ranking difference I couldn't get seat in those colleges. Those three college was the most preferred to me and Canara was an extra option for me but unfortunately I got seat here in all the three rounds that made me feel so disappointing. Why I think the rest 3 colleges are better then Canara is because of the location the college located and the locality and compared to Canara the other three colleges had good placements and the students that come to those three colleges have a good mindset and would have helped me to improvise myself but here in this college we will find 60-70% of gsb students and students from villages who r rather worried about the future developing changes in the world or knowledge on the technical thing or the technology they r just focused on clearing the subject of the exams that's it .

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is like for a single subject we have 3-4 lectures. Where in a class of 60 students a single teacher finds difficult to be appproachable to all the students. Here the lecturers instead of focusing on why actually is required for the future of students why skills required for the survival of the students they are totally focused on completing the syllabus and pressuring on the assignments. For me here there is no a particular faculty I like n all because every Sen the faculty will be changed, whatever the faculty came to teach me are an average lectures they have the good teaching ability but are restricted to the syllabus they have to clear orelse faculty here and great persons. And the faculty I don't like there are none I don't keep personal grudge among teachers but I do hate teachers who fails to answer our doubts and who blackmail us holding the internal marks n all those kind if teachers I don't like a bit. Coming to the exams conducted in my college there will be 2 internals for each Sem and one one semester exam and practical exam . The questions in the question paper for the internals from the college will be moderate not tough neither easy . The internal exams will be for 25 marks and the passing marks will be around 8/9 and it's easy to score passing marks as the paper will be moderate level . Out of 60 students in a class hardly 5-6 students face difficult to pass the internals and talking about semester exam the questions will be easy or moderate like 60-70% of the questions comes from the previous year papers so by referring those previous papers it will be easy to pas the exams.

Night Life

3

As our college has good campus which is peaceful and less distraction as it is located very far from the highways or cities . Here the permission for the students at night is around 7pm before this timing we need to be inside our campus . We got two canteens inside our campus ,and even a gym in the hostel. As our college located in not well developed locality so there are no hanging or favourite spots over here it's all forest around.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
