Likes

The college is pretty good to be honest. The faculties are really friendly. The average age gap is also pretty less. So I believe students and lectiurers can connect very well. They will guide you to the right direction.
The faculties provide sound knowledge on the subject they are teaching, and if your main goal is to study well and get good marks, this is the college for you to opt
Placement are pretty good, considering the fact that it is a tier 3 college.

Dislikes

The campus lacks a color theme, and is poorly structured.
It is in a literal forest, so away from the city which makes it difficult for students to travel back and forth.
There is less bus facility. There is barely 1 bus for every 2-3 hours. Auto charge is too expensive otherwise.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good and it is the good course and is the best courses, which is a good course is the best course. For real world application, these courses provide nothing. We ourselves have to upskill and grow .

Placement Experience

College placement is pretty decent. The placement coordinators are working seriously hard inorder for the students to get placed. If quality of students are good, then placement chances are also high automatically.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have been paying rs 100060/- INR for 4 years each. I.e., 400240/-. I have joined the college through CET. The breakdown would be: Tuition fees: 90060/- Skill lab fees: 10000/- This breakdown is as of 2021. Now the fees have been almost doubled.

Campus Life

Annual techno-cultural festival is akriti, which is a mind blowing extravaganza, and an escape from college stress. Musicians, Djs are invited to perform for the night shows. People go crazy that day, drink smoke and what not????. Other than that many festivals are celebrated like krishna janmashtmi, aayudha pooja, independence day, founders day etc

Admission

I didn't choose this college. The CET examination chose me and put me to this college, which is according to the ranks obtained by me writing the CET examination. Keep a decent rank, and you are eligible to get this college. You can also try admission through management fee payment.

Faculty

The faculty student ratio is 1:30, which is pretty good considering the tier 3 college stand,there are mainly 7 branches in BE. CSE, CSD,CSBS,AIML, ECE,ME, IS. Csbs, csd and aiml were the new branches introduced in 2021. But they are pretty good too. Faculty is the best part of this college as I love each and everyone except narayana swamy. That bugger is a red flag straight away. Dude literally failed me for no reason. Stay away from that guy.

Night Life

Nightlife is crazy. There are many hotels which are cheap enough and provides good quality food. The one that stands out is khushi, where ramanna is too kind to serve us, and that aunty who is generous enough to sponsor us for sports endeavors. Other hotels are shri dham, dream dine (not dinki dine). Gym is decent. Bantwal police station is also good

Placement Experience:

Student become eligible for campus selection in their third semester like I in the sector semester will have someone internships where students will get to know about the industry they will work for many companies in internship and then they will be eligible for the interviews in the 4th year itself like the last two semesters the companies visitor in BMS College of engineering Amazon Google Microsoft and top companies all that all the most top companies because the strength of VMS College of engineering + killed students are very high percentage of students getting placed is like 7030 as in the 30% many of them of 2 highest teddy and some of them do research and other stuff so I would say 70% of them get placed and 30% of them do highest studies place do business and other stuff like star startups mostly I also do higher studies in doing MBA or masters in other fields of interest if I get a good placement I will do job for 1 hour 2 years and then do highest studies

Placement Experience:

There is college placements in here. The students studying in 7th semester are eligible for campus placements. They should also not be having any backlogs. There are various companies that visit our college. Some of them are Infosys, Wipro, L and T, TCS, Anventure etc. On an average around 70% to 80% students get placed who are eligible for placements. I actually plan on joining a IT company for a reasonable salary just for experience purpose. And then pursue higher studies

The college with good staff!!

Placement Experience:

From 8 8th semester, students become eligible for the campus. The companies like IT companies offer made. The highest package is 6 lakh and the lowest package is 3 lakh. 25% of students are selected for the campus. I plan to work at google company.

It’s Okay to be not Okay

Being an Neet aspirant I failed to get a seat in the medical after taking a year drop and the next option that left for me was engineering.soo bcz of Neet my cet didn't went good and didn't get good ranking. Apart from this college the currently i am pursuing u have applied for 3 other colleges one is Sahyadri, st.joseph,and mite.due to ranking difference I couldn't get seat in those colleges. Those three college was the most preferred to me and Canara was an extra option for me but unfortunately I got seat here in all the three rounds that made me feel so disappointing. Why I think the rest 3 colleges are better then Canara is because of the location the college located and the locality and compared to Canara the other three colleges had good placements and the students that come to those three colleges have a good mindset and would have helped me to improvise myself but here in this college we will find 60-70% of gsb students and students from villages who r rather worried about the future developing changes in the world or knowledge on the technical thing or the technology they r just focused on clearing the subject of the exams that's it ....Read More
