Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to pursue music from the beginning. Here I want to say one thing that Bachelors or Masters in music is not for the beginners. The one who wants to do this, has to have good knowledge of music. So i was also learning music for past 10-12 years before doing Bachelors in music. My previous learning helped me to understand and study according to this curriculum and it was also applicable for all batchmates. The curriculum is well designed by eminent and well known artists and it helps us to gain a vast knowledge of music.

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fee was 17,000 for a year and 51,000 for 3 years. Except that we were paying the exam registration fee which was around 4000 per semester which costs around 24,000 for 6 semesters. Eligible students get scholarship also.

Campus Life

4

Every year selected students get the opportunity to participate in college fest where they compete with other colleges around the country. Except that college organises differ inter college level fests and provides opportunity to perform in different occasions.

Admission

I didn't go for any other college. I decided to choose only Bharti vidyapeeth because of the less fees compare to other colleges. Except that i felt that i am getting everything in this college which other colleges are providing like workshops by eminent personalities, well designed curriculum, well equipped classes etc, these were the resons to choose this college. For admission, we need to fill the form online, then we have to give audition where we need to sing. Based on the audition, the college selects eligible students.

Faculty

4

In our college and specially in music stream we have theory and practical learning. In theory part, we have to attend lectures in college and 70 ? attendance is compulsory. For different subjects like History of music, Sanskrit etc specialised faculties were there. For practical learning we have to go to our guru's place once or twice or thrice a week. College provides us guru for practical learning. However as a student i got help from all the faculties and other staffs but i would like to mention the name of Mr. Praveen Kaslikar sir. He used to help us by going out of the box.

Interview Experience

4

For the admission, we need to give the audition, which is basically a stage presentation in front of 80-100 audience and in front of 5-6 judges including college authorities. Based on the audition college selects the eligible candidates. There is no age criteria for the admission.

Night Life

3

Usually i didn't opt for hostel so i had not any experience about night outs. However after our lectures we used to spend few hours in library or canteen. But the students who took the hostel facility, they had fixed time for in and out. Providing food was optional.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Quite substandard and below average. Prioritised rote learning over critical thinking. Just a rubber stamp for a degree. No actual education ever took place. Exams were anually or bi annually. Exams were difficult if you cannot write 30 pages in 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Yes, there is no specific place where we get to know that whether the college is open or not on a specific day like the day which has been declared closed by the government. The college doesn’t provide this facility for us. We have to move all towards our home to the college to get this thing.
