What Students Say

Likes

Was very convenient and relaxed. Always left students guessing the college’s next move
Students were nice, very unambitious. Not interested in actual academics.
Invigilators are strict and enforce anti cheating/plagiarise measures.

Dislikes

Students were cheating all the time, if you dont cheat, you wont get good grades
Only way to score mark is to write extremely long, like 30 pages minimum for 80%
Rarely attended classes since books are enough. You just need to rote learn and vomit it back on the paper

Course Curriculum Overview

Quite substandard and below average. Prioritised rote learning over critical thinking. Just a rubber stamp for a degree. No actual education ever took place. Exams were anually or bi annually. Exams were difficult if you cannot write 30 pages in 3 hours.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 5500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Course was affordable, included book costs and exam fees. However exam repeaters will have to pay a nominal fee of 250 per subject Sc/st students got full scholarship. I used to annually pay 5500 per year.

Campus Life

Rarely attended Campus events since it was quite extraordinarily far for me. It used to take me 2-3 hours to reach the college campus. There isnt much to do on campus anyways. Library is there which again is too crowded and doesnt feel like a library.

Admission

I wasn't eligible for most colleges with my 12th score. So i choose this over IGNOU, which I heavily regret. This college is so pathetic, wont give you your marksheets, and they end up griefing the students when you can't play by their rules

Faculty

Faculty student ratio is quite skewed, too many students for too few teachers. All the facilites are awful, it is quite bad. Some selft induviduals are good and helpful but overall the college doesnt care about you.

Interview Experience

No i did not face any interview. Mostly all group discussions were on telegram. Test patterns were the same for 90-% of papers, 5 questions, 2 sub questions each worth 10 marks Just mugg up textbooks and vomit in exam

Night Life

There isnt anything much around campus. No one hags out around/outside campus. There are a few stationary shops and snack corners. But nothing memorable enough to write it down here. Dissapointing at best

The curriculum offers a variety of subjects to select within its very detailed and covers various aspects of the course it is for real world applications because it stays in touch wirh reality and prepares for real world jobs , i guess the continuity of the sunjects should be improved and exams are not very hard mostly students don't fail

Life of St Xavier's Mumbai

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

The Best College Campus

Remarks:

Yes, there is no specific place where we get to know that whether the college is open or not on a specific day like the day which has been declared closed by the government. The college doesn’t provide this facility for us. We have to move all towards our home to the college to get this thing.

Ok ok college not much good

I choose this college because my sister was already studying there. Also i didn't apply to other colleges because we dint had sufficient money. This college was affordable to us. There was no exam given for admission. Admission process was very simple. They did not check any eligibility of students to give admission in their college.
