Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum of accounts is decent. But if they would have added few extra optional subjects for the new technology and how to use them and implement them in the real world it would have improved efficiency. They have already improved the things from this year batch. Frequency is twice a year and difficulty I would moderate.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is very good as the faculty and students are helpful. It also helps to build my social life and work on that experiment with it . As I am not into any club specifically so I can't really say as there is no such thing in my college but yeas the student committee is well managed and active.

Admission

I have applied for another colleage but because I was preparing for an UG exams I could not join that college that year it self as I need time to prepare but I do get almost a confirmation that I will be able to get a seat in that college but because of my UG exams I dropped that idea. The college I am in now is very flexible as it's in my home city it gets easy for me to attend and manage my study.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio I can't tell that exact but the thing I know is that the faculty are not as per required but yes the college are trying to hire. The best faculty according to me would be renu mam, minu mam and nibil sir cause I like the way they teach there teaching method is very nice . There are 2 sem in a particular year, about difficulty it's not difficult if you have prepared well from the textbook nicely I would say it's pretty easy cause our course consists of many things that's already taught in our previous classes. I would say people who fail are 20-24 people because of language barriers some students shift form Marathi to English medium so it might be difficult for them. The relevancy is a matter of talk cause our curriculum(3rd yr) are old but they have introduced the new and updated curriculum form this batch of 2024-25

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
