I cleared CEE which is held by the government of ASSAM every year to the admission into the engineering colleges and medical colleges across ASSAM. I secured 150 out of 300 marks and opted for CHEMICAL ENGINEERING in AEC. It was perhaps a nice decision and i am on my journey towards the completion of my course. After the IIT GUWAHATI it was the oldest engineering college in assam producing talented engineers every year.

The course curriculum in our college is upto date. The facility which i get here is much upto my expectations.

Major NNCs and PSU like ONGC, BPCL, NRL, TCS, WIPRO ETC come every year and select for the internship and the stipend was a around 3000 to 5000. The experience gained through these internship provided us with industry oriented thinking and future prospects of such an engineer in different fields. As a whole it broadens the skills .

As mentioned earlier various MNCs and PSU s like ONGC GAIL SAIL OIL NRL BPCL etc come during the 7th sem period. During last campus placement almost 100 out of 300 were placed. The package was around 12 lacks p.a. which was the highest of all was provided by BPCL and 6 students were placed in BPCL. Other major recruiters such as TCS WIPRO offered around 3.6 L p.a. and alnost 30% were placed in it . Some are also placed in ONGC OIL offerpackage of around 6L package.

The cultural festival of Aec is known as PYROKINESIS. It is celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm. From the faculty members to the students all work in a combined manner to make it a grand fest. Artist from Indian and abroad are welcomed to perform in the fest. Thousands of people gathered to enjoy the fest. Technical fest is known as UDVABANAMIt is also celebrated with great participation of members from different institutions across ASSAM. Eminent research scholars and scientists are welcomed to enlighten the students with their speeches.

Being a government engineering college the fee structure is very meagre. From poor to rich all are assembled here in AEC to attain a degree in engineering. The fee structure is Rs 10500 for 1 year which includes tuition fee, bus, library fee etc. Apart from this exam fees are taken prior to exams which is Rs 1200. There are no other expenses besides these.

There are many scholarship available during the course of study such as NEC, OBC etc. I have also availed some if the scholarships.

The campus life till now i have experienced is of great pleasure. Extracurricular activities are held quite often to which i am keen to take part. Being a part of AEC i have also organized many events such as quiz, debate etc. Inter college and inter hostel sports are quite famous which involves mass participation. The sports week in aec is also organized in a grand manner.

The hostel facility according to me is very nice. The mess manager and the cook give their best to make a tastier meal. The complaint of food is not seen here.

From my personal experience with passed out seniors i have gained a very good knowledge of the outside scenario of aec. They provide helping hand to the juniors.

Exams were held quite often. The labs are also regularly held which gives us a very hectic schedule. Inspite of doing so many labs and giving exams we are actually enjoying life in AEC. This is what aec is upto for.
