Likes

I like the atmosphere the most as the city is Chandigarh which is a perk
I like the campus as it is huge and lushgreen
I like the hostel as hostel fees is very less

Dislikes

Hostel fees is less but it's not well maintained
Classes and college building is not renovated from a long time
Placement is good for CSE, IT and ece but not for rest of the branches

Course Curriculum Overview

Course of biotechnology is irrelevant as in India biotechnology will grow later but students gets time to do extra curriculum as exams is taken on a gap of 4 months atleast and there are opportunities in foreign countries for biotech

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 107000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees is around 107000 to 125000 it varies on every year, and provided to university semester wise 40 percent fees is submitted by start of odd semester and rest of the fees is submitted by start of even semester

Campus Life

Campus Life is good in Punjab University as annual fest of UIET is goonj is good and except that we can also join many other fest also as university is diverse with other courses, clubs are good for students depends on their intrest, university is 24/7 open for hang out including hostels for both boys and girls

Admission

I choose this college because I will get a government degree of Punjab University, better valued than private colleges degree, campus of Punjab University is huge and lushgreen with no restriction for anything open 24/7

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is good as it is a government college, but first year there are subjects like applied physics which is a bit tough and faculty is also average for that and applied chemistry faculty is good.

Night Life

Night life is amazing in Punjab University as there is no restriction for boys and girls to be in hostel and there is no such timing for a person to stay inside hostel or hangout anywhere without any worry as security is good too

The curriculum is mostly based on theoretical aspects as the course itself is bachelor of engineering there can be more practical aspects but the overall difficulty level is medium i would say and these are durable

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

form 3rd year college placements get started but student can do side internship by themself in 1st and 2nd year offcampus type , there is no restriction from our college . in 2023 atlasian give highest package of 83 lpa . various companies like microsoft , jp morgan , american express come to PEC for hiring .

Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.
