Likes

There was no discrimination on the basis on caste, religion or society
The college infrastructure was too good and there was a garden in the heart of college
Teaching faculty was good highly qualified and well trained experience teacher except few.

Dislikes

No wifi facility for student , lab facility was also general not accessible to all.
Teachers just focus on assignment submission there lecture sometimes goes out of topic.
Sometimes teacher adher to a topic and consistently ask from student as if student were teacher rather teacher should teach it herself.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because i want to become a civil servants. Besides civil servants , this curriculum activity make you understanding and make you clear logical thinking and understanding. Frequency of exam in term of difficulties level was average.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 19500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The college yearly fee was 19000 P/A including all tuition, library, registration fee, exam fee, lab fee, Id card issuing fee, etc. While other student who belongs to reservation category, they get scholarship like Post matric scholarship through NSP portal they can apply. Equivalent to college fee the scholarship amount get it depends on the types of scholarshiop. However student himself/herself have to apply.

Campus Life

Quiz fest, college election, dance competition, Rangolo competition. Proper library facilities. Proper class room with amenities, well equipped classroom tools. Outdoor sports academy outside college however at my time there was running renovation work and construction work hope some new features would be included

Admission

I had two option may be i would be more if i had searched. I chose to opt North Campus of Delhi University because of diversity of culture, language, apparal, skills, faculty and infrastructure. Basically i got the admission through cut off.

Faculty

Good faculty, teachers approach to the student and same vice versa. Political science faculty was very good i would nane one Mr Inderjeet singh however i was not at his level in term of understanding. There was semester wise exam means in a year 2 exam was held..

Night Life

Proper gym facilities, cafeteria library and public area. No hostel facility, however you can get accommodation in nearly location just adjacent to college. College location is safe you can easily roam there without any fear

DSC is a decent college!

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. Gargi : A home to a stranger

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
