- The faculty of geography department is so good.As geography course also has practical component in it,for it the dephas good computer and wifi connection.

Dislikes
- I think the placement cell of college us not that active.there should be active placement cell which can make students more engaging and hopeful about their future opportunities.
- In Miranda house,if you want to join any society,you have to be best(not good)in that activity even it is debating,dance,music anything.So it provides space for people who are already best not to those who wants to learn.
- Hike in the prices of canteen food.I agree that the canteen food is up to mark in college canteen but there is sudden hike in the prices which is unbearable.
Course Curriculum Overview
Geography is a science that studies the earth as the abode of human being.as everything around us is the part of geography,It fascinated me to study this subject in my college.Geography has very real word applications such as gis,remote sensing,urban planning etc.As I mentioned earlier,our college faculty is really good but it needs improvement in practical aspects of the subjects.we, geography honours students have to attend more lectures than other students.we have practical classes as well which takes a lot of time.For me,the difficulty level of the course is moderate.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am currently pursuing B.A Geography(H) from Miranda House College,DU.The annual course fees is 17000 rs.As I am currently living in Miranda House Hostel for which I have to pay approx.55000 rs per year.Another charges includes examination fees which is 3000 rs for one year.Fee structure for college and hostel us similar for all categories.Our college provides scholarship for financially weaken students(financial assistance) and forever meritorious students,many other scholarships are also being provided.
Campus Life
The name of annual fest of Miranda House College us tempest which is commonly held in April month.Apart from it,various other events and fest and are conducted by the different dep and societies of the collegeMH library provides a great range of books and novels which includes books related to academics,fictional etc.The technological facilities are good here,wifi connection is good.For extracurricular activities,college has a wide range of societies which includes tanz( western dance society) Mridang(indian classical dance society) Geetanjali( music society) anukriti (hindi dramatic society) etc.For sports students,facilities of coaches is also being provided.
Hostel Facilities
I am living in Miranda house hostel.I am living in two sharing room which has two bed,Two study table ,two almirah,one dressing table,slabs etc.mess food is good which ranges from parantas, dal,khichdi,chole bhature,pav bhaji,puri and many more.food quality is good in mess.Hostel seats are very limited so it is given to those students who really scored very high marks.
Admission
Miranda House College was my first priority I wanted to pursue B.A geography H from this college and I made it.Apart from this college,I also applied for Kmc,hansraj and hindu college.For getting admission in Miranda House College,you have to give CUET examination( even for getting admission into any reputed university in india).Based on your marks,college allotment is done for getting admission in Miranda house,you have to score high marks.The cutoff for general to get into geo hons in mh is nearly790/800,if you belong to reserved category,750-760 is safe score.
Faculty
Miranda House College provides that place in which you can easily interact with your faculty you can raise your questions regarding subjects in class or even in corridors.Faculty is very approachable.I really like Miss Ruchi Sachen ma'am,she is assistant professor in geography department.I like her because she is very kind and helpful.She clears doubts in seconds and in very easy way.I also like abhishank sir from department of political sciences because he is very approachable and non judgemental. There are 7 papers in one semester which includes 3 core papers of geography,sec,vac,aec and ge.In geography department,no students fail to clear the exams.and the course curriculum is relevant to today's world need to great extent.
Night Life
Miranda House College also provides gym facility.there is also very famous pam cafe and Nescafe in the premises of college.as I am living in hostel,for me the best pasttime is to roam in college at night because at that time there is no crowd there and everything feels so calm and aesthetic.there is no curfew in hostel.if you want to hang out in night,you only have to mention the time at which you are going in the register being placed with guard bhaiyas. Overall,Miranda house as a college and residential place is very safe and secure.
