Course Curriculum Overview
I love helping people and understanding their issues. Mental health issues are on the rise and I believe the key to help such people are good psychologists. Hands on experience provided by Jain university is helpful for the same.
Internships Opportunities
Many centres including Inspiron Psychological well being centre, Cadabams etc. They also provide opportunities at many hospital like Spandana for visits. Overall the experiences are greeat to understand and gain better understanding of subject.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from second year. Few centres that have visited are Stepping stones, Kshema, Spring days etc. each centre take atleast 4 students. My plan is to get a job through campus placement
Fees and Financial Aid
The MSc Clinical Psychology program at Jain SAHS, Bangalore has a total fee of 4 lakh. Rs. 1,90,000 for first year and Rs. 2,10,000 for second year. The university does provide merit based and caste based scholarships.
Campus Life
There are a lot of clubs in college and they conduct wide variety of competitions. We have ethnic day, sports days and also annual fests along with other events. The only issue is the small campus due to which many programs cannot be held in.
Hostel Facilities
Initially when i joined the facilities weren't up to the mark. People had good poisoning , water issues etc. but now that has improved significantly. The food menu of hostel is vegetarian food. It does include a lot of tasty dishes.
Admission
This is the only college i applied to because of the great reviews i heard and i also checked their curriculum with my previous college professors. Thus, i didn't apply anywhere else. There is an JET exam for getting into college along with marks from previous college.
Faculty
The faculty members are really sweet and helpful. They aren't too strict and helps us understand and navigate through problems. My favourite is our HOD Sajeeth Sir. He is very chill and helps clear all our doubts.
Interview Experience
There was an online exam called JET which asks basic questions related to our subject. We also had an online interview session to test our knowledge it includes questions related to course and also about ourselves. Overall its quite simple
Night Life
We do have a cafeteria with vegetarian food. Campus timings are from 8:40 am to 4:00 pm and students stay back if there are events coming up. The locality is safe to roam during evenings. The hostel timings are flexible.
