Course Curriculum Overview
I am a student of mechanical Engineering. I love machines from my childhood so I decided to take this course. In today's world of technology we need machines in everywhere.From wake up to sleep we need machines. Now a days there is a huge application of machines in various fields like medical, agriculture, automobile, technology etc
Internships Opportunities
The companies that offers internship are Indian railway, ASTC, BVFCL, BCPL,TRTC, NRL, etc. They offers 15 days internship for students in semester break. and give a complition certificate after completing the internship.
Placement Experience
There is a campus placement facility available in our college. Students of 6th semester are eligible for campus placement. There are several companies like Tata Cummins, Gabriel, subros , Tata motors visited our college and offers jobs . They offered a average package of 3 lakh per annum. Students having percentage starting from 50 can apply the jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is a 3 year course.1st year fees is 6000,2nd year fees 5450,3rd year fees 5450 including the workshop fees, tuition fees, laboratory fees, and college maintenance fees. Scholarships are provided to the students depending upon merit or Cast.
Campus Life
Collage is celebrated every year for a week . And All poly meet festival is organised by all Assam polytechnics once in a year . Students from all Assam polytechnics are come and join this program and various compititiona are held among all polytechnics. Smart class rooms are available in this college.
Hostel Facilities
There are 3 beds ,3 table,3 chairs,3 wardrobe in a room available for 3 students in hostels. They provide 3 times meals. The bathroom and toilets are very clean . Ever hostel have CC tv cameras for security.
Admission
I took admission in this college because it is a technical course. Now a days government jobs are too rare and it causes unemployment. So I decided to choose this college so that I can do something by myself and other private jobs. But the other college is a graduation college which is too common now a days. For admission to this college there is an entrance exam named PAT.
Faculty
The teacher student ratio is 1:10 . There are 7 branches and each branch has 10 teachers approximately. This is a semester system course and there are two exams in a year in 6 months both two exams are final exams.
Night Life
There is a gym in this college, there is a cafeteria in this college for students and has a canteen also for students. In time of girls hostel in 6PM and boys hostel is 8PM . There are security guards in this college at night and metron and warden in hostels.
