Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is pretty good and very tough also, there's a lot of pressure on the students. We are unable to respond to that pressure. I would rate my curriculum 6 out of 10. I would say the curriculum in this college is pretty slick.

Internships Opportunities

2

We are not with our internships, but by the look on the faces of seniors, I can probably say even the internships are going very badly, but still, they convince us that there are better internships in the future, which we won't believe.

Placement Experience

3

Still, I'm pursuing my first year hence I don't know about the placements in detail, but on the details have received from my seniors, I could say that Amrita is offering pretty good placements. My employability and my plans after completion of this, of course, are not to pursue my career in the field of AI. Hence, I prefer to go into the field of business.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees are around 2.75 lakhs per annum, which includes hostel fees of 75,000 and tuition fee of 1.5 lakhs which include caution fees, tuition fees, admission fees, development, fees, fees, and other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category.

Campus Life

3

My overall experience in the campuses is: well, I would not describe it in words. I could say 4 out of 10. The campus does not provide hygienic food. The food here is completely tasteless with no salt and spice. I could find cockroaches, spiders, and many more insects living in our hostel rooms. Living here on the campus is like basically cutting off from the entire world and living in a separate whole world.

Hostel Facilities

1

The hostel facility given to us is very absurd, I mean like cockroaches and spiders making their home as hostel washrooms more than we can own the hostels. If you give a complaint to our warden ask us to clean our rooms as it is alloted to us. But aren't we paying for the hostel? This question remains in my head by hear his response. The meal quality bruh they charge 75 K per annum yet they are unable to provide food worth the 75K which is very interesting. In fact, where does all that money go? And to be noted whenever we go in the snacks time and ask for a snack the guy standing over there would be like you would be only getting a piece whether it is a bread piece or Lado whatever it might be, we are only allowed to get one piece, for the 75K we are paying.

Admission

This college was not my first choice, I initially studied at Mahindra University Hyderabad and pursued my first year over there and again have taken a drop and come to Amrita University and again I'm pursuing my first year over here, I chose Amrita because of his cultural and prosperity, even the place it is situated is a consideration. Studying in Kerala with such a nice ambience has been a dream for many, hence I've chosen to come to Amrita.

Faculty

3

I'm pursuing my btech first year in AI, the faculty over here is pretty good, and the teaching is also good, but most of the faculties are region-biased, apart from the teaching and everything is OK. There is a lot of discrimination between Malayalam and other language students

Night Life

1

Nightlife? Seriously oh God, how can I say this? We should be in the hostel before 9 pm even if it is one minute late, the warden is gonna trouble us and make us write an apology letter for a minute he takes it personally, I would say this campus has a very shitty nightlife. There are no cafeterias no nice restaurants. Nothing we can find in the place we are residing.

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.
