Likes

things i like about my college is that it is very affordable and also provides all types of scholarships and fees is also not that higher .
some faculties in our college is also good at teaching and also experienced. Boys to girls ratio in our class 10:4
my college also provides good exposure and also has a big alumni network.

Dislikes

some buidings in our college is too old and labs are also not that good.
some of the faculties in our college are also not that good at teaching .
social life in our college is not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum of cse department is very nice. As all topics like web deveplopment , DSA ,AI/ML is covered. It is very vast. But due to this many problems occur like we do not get extra time to for other things and other activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

the year wise fee for computer science department i pay is 98800 rupees and our college also provides all types scholarship like scholarship for SC and ST students and also provides medhavi scholarship under which our full tution fee is covered. the fees for IT and BME department is somewhat higher around 1.3 lakh rupees.

Campus Life

My college provides us with all types of clubs like pratibimb club which is art and craft club kshitiz club which is dance and music club and also other many clubs like computer club for coding. Our annual fest is Aayam which occurs in the month of february and it has many activities and games in .

Admission

I personally took this college because it is in the city where i live and also it has less fees compare to other colleges with good placement opportunities our college also has very good average package around 14 lakhs . yeah and i also applied in josaa counselling and got some good iiit colleges . but i chose my college because it has less fee than those.

Faculty

Faculties in our college are quite approachable and if we do not understood any topic and ask them to repeat it again then they also repeat the topic and do not yell at any student. Our teacher like our computer architecture teacher teach us very well and we understand everything they teadh us. but some teachers like Data Structures sir have good knowledge of subject but we are not able to understand properly what they teach us.

Night Life

I am a dayscholar so don't really live in college hostel in night so i can't really talk about much . but some of my friends live in college hostel so according them they can't leave hostel premises after 8p.m.

Affordable College with Decent Opportunities and Scope for Self- Growth.

Placement Experience:

Placement at SKITM are decent and improving year by year . Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Reputed companies like TCS,wipro , Infosys and some emerging firms visit the campus. The averages package is around 3-4 LPA ,while the higher goes upto 6-7 LPA in some cases . Around 60% students get placed , especially those who have good technical skills and communication skills. The college also provide basic training and guidance for placements, which helps students prepare for interview The college provide some support, but it is not enough for high - paying jobs, so students need to prepare on their own.

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year onwards I think the students are eligible for campus placements. And till now around 90 companies have visited this campus and highest package till now is 70 LPA and average package is 7 LPA. Around 1500 students every year get placed from this campus. And my plans after the degree is either landing in a high paying job or staring with my own startup.

In my collge Students typically become eligible to participate in campus recruitment drives from the 7th Semester(start of the 4th year).However , the collge starts preparation much earlier through Campus Recruitment Training(CRT) and soft skills classes, which often begin as early as the 1st and 2nd emester to ensure students are industry-ready. Total Offers:For the 2024-2025 cycle,the institute reported over 300 to 450+ offers across various branches. Key Companies: IT/Software:TCS(Top recruiter), Infosys , Wipro , Capgemini , Cognizant ,HCL , Accenture, Cisco , Tech Mahindra Netlink ,Jaro education , Logical Softtech , KD provission , Kadel labs , Blueflames and many more. Total Companies Visited: Over 200+ companies (including 150+ core companies). The salary trends vary significantly between on-campus mass recruitment and off-campus offers. Verage package 5.0 - 9.0 LPA. Approximately 75% to 84% of eligible students get placed.The CSE and IT branches see the highest success rates(often 80%+), while core branches like Mechanical and Civil focuses more on the core companies placements. Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are very good in one sense but okayish in some other. Many companies visit the college but only some of them are good and if one loses opportunity in some top companies, then only low paying companies remain. Students become eligible for college placements after 6 semester. Some top companies visiting for placements include, Goldman Sachs, Databricks, Google, Zomato, Amazon, etc. All of the students in my branch have received their offers except one or two, who will receive it eventually. Highest package this year is 1.04Cr INR and average would fall around 30L INR. Percentage of students getting placed in my branch is around always 100%. My plans after a degree is to work in industry offered to me by my placements, but even if I don't get on campus placement, I would be seeking out off campus placements and I am positive, I'll be in good place.

Last year there was approx 100+ company comes to the college for recruiting students. Last year their highest package is approx 10LPA and a minimum of 4LPA. Approx 80% of students are getting placed till last year and some of them are working in MNCs right now and some of them are opening their startups. After graduation, I decided to pursue higher studies abroad.

Sgsits Cs is my first priority but not enough to get there so aim for IT the reason why i end up here is because i got manipulated and every one is saying as it rank 3rd in mp. I love to join mnit but its not enough to get in there. SGSITS: JUST A BIG BRAND

I applied for IET davv but I kept it as second preference in MP dte counselling. Other options available for me were some IIITs and lower branches in NITs but I wanted to go for IT sector. Now reason for me for choosing this college was it was slight better than iet and slight lower than IIITs but fees of IIITs was very high, So I didn't applied for them. When I applied for sgsits suddenly they increased their fees. I had no option left other than iet or taking sgsits, but in between confusions and dilemma I choosen sgsits by suggestions of relatives and other elders. Admission process is done through MP dte counselling, based on jee mains rank. Cutoff of general category for IT branch is about AIR 45,000. The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed.
