Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum is CBME BASED so it really prepares for your real life with lot of knowledge and experience gained from your clinical postings and with hands on training with patients. Exams are conducted by the end of the year and 3 internals assessments are conducted in between the year so clearing atleast 2 internal assessment exams will allow u to write your university exam

Internships Opportunities

4

After passing the final year we have a compulsory rotational shift for internship for 1 year in all the departments for allotted time with a stipend of 10 thousand rupees per month. We learn a lot of things during our internship clinically and also have ample amount of time to prepare for our postgraduate entrance exams

Fees and Financial Aid

the year wise fees is 22 lakhs for 5 years so that's a total of 1 crore 10 lakhs till u complete your course. I'm in my 3rd year I still have to pay the fees for next two years each 22 lakhs. There's no such thing as scholarship in our college, it's a deemed university. You've to pay a caution fee of 1lakh only in the first year. You also have to pay exam fees before every university examination which comes once a year and costs around 10 thousand rupees. There is no merit or scholarship students in our college, it is totally of payment seats

Campus Life

4

There are so many student groups like environmental club, sports committee, etc It's really fun in the campus and there are so many shops outside the campus like within 1 km radius for all necessities The campus also has a gym for the students which is free of cost and have really good trainers

Hostel Facilities

4

Our room has a twin cot with bed and side tables and good air conditioning. We also have an attached bathroom with 24/7 water service The room is fully furnished with dressing table for 2 and a wardrobe. Each room accommodates 2 students with a balcony

Admission

I couldn't get a seat in government college so I started applying for a deemed university. I got better college opportunities in Chennai but it was too far from my home so obviously my parents didn't want to send me there. This college is just a 30 min drive from my home and I made it thru cutoff of 250 marks and got a seat here. What I missed by joining this college is a better social life and exposure which can be gained in metropolitan cities like chennai

Faculty

4

Faculties are atleast around 15 per subject so that gives a ratio of 1:5. There are so many faculties I like because of their positive attitude and guidance to make me become successful in life. There are some faculties who are arrogant and very old school who hates a girl and boy sitting together in a classroom whom I hate the most. Exams are pretty difficult. The subjects which I completed till now are: ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, BIOCHEMISTRY, MICROBIOLOGY, PATHOLOGY, PHARMACOLOGY. In 3rd year we have 2 subjects: COMMUNITY MEDICINCE AND FORENSIC MEDICINE

Night Life

4

Night life in the campus is pretty strict for girls compared to boys Girls are allowed till 10pm in the library due to safety issues around the campus Hostel timings are 4pm to 8pm but with special permission to use the library we can get till 10pm College timings are 8 am to 4pm with a lunch break around 1pm to 2pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college strictly follows NMC rules and which is a very good thing as it helps us prepare for both theory and practical as theory give u the vast knowledge and practical allows us to imply what we learnt and also after the new rules of introducing histology we can also apply the idea of more creativity in a field a lot of creativity is yet to be unfolded they also cover important aspects through regular workshops and educate us with guest lectures from other colleges the important improvement which should be done is having the patience to teach a. Crowd of 250 which teachers should undergo special 2-3 classes to make sure they know what they teach is being reached out to everyone the timing of exam and everything is on time theh give us enough time to prepare and get ready
