- There will be a lot of pressure on students.
- Sometimes some of the professors too arrogant and dont understand students.
- The wifi in the hostels does not work at alll.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very much relevant for the real world application. They taught us courses like database management system operating systems no sql databases computer networks hardware security cryptography. There will 4 set of exams and all will be difficult and sometimes it depends on the professor

Core Engineering: Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, ISRO, DRDO, Bajaj Auto, L&T. Data Science & AI: American Express, Fractal Analytics, Deloitte.IIITDMJ has an active entrepreneurship culture, where students intern at startups or build their own ventures. E-Cell IIITDMJ connects students with startup internships. Some students work on their own ideas through incubators like Startup India, Atal Incubation Centers, and IIT Startup Hubs.Tech & Software Internships: ?30,000–?1,00,000 per month (Amazon, Google, Microsoft). Core Engineering Internships: ?10,000–?30,000 per month (Tata, ISRO, DRDO). Placement Experience
Our college has demonstrated a strong placement record in recent years. In the 2023 placement season, the highest package offered was ?82 lakh per annum (LPA), with undergraduate students receiving an average package of ?21.63 LPA and postgraduate students averaging ?13 LPA. The 2024 placement season saw further improvement, with the highest international package reaching ?122 LPA and the highest domestic package at ?110 LPA. A total of 284 job offers were made, including three international positions. The average salary for M.Tech students stood at ?12.54 LPA.Prominent recruiters such as Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, and Cognizant have participated in the institute's placement drives. Additionally, students have secured project-based internships with organizations like CISCO, HackerEarth, Amazon, American Express, Hero Motocorp, IBM, ISRO, and others
Fees and Financial Aid
In first year it was nearly 82000 per sem but after the fee decreased to 72720 per sem.Our college also offers scholarship for those students who belong to minority.For minority they will be paying fee only for their food.

Hostel Facilities
Separate Hostels for Boys & Girls There are multiple hostel blocks for boys and girls, with adequate accommodation.First-year students usually get shared rooms (double/triple occupancy). Second-year onwards, students may get single rooms based on availabilityEach room comes with a bed, study table, chair, cupboard, and fan. Hostels have WiFi connectivity, common rooms, and laundry services. Some hostels are equipped with hot water geysers in the bathrooms.Hostels have 24/7 security guards and are monitored by CCTV cameras. Entry to hostels is restricted after certain hours, ensuring safety. Biometric entry is required for hostel access.Common Rooms – Equipped with TV, newspapers, and indoor games (chess, carrom, etc.). Sports Facilities – Students have access to badminton, basketball, and football fields. Laundry & Cleaning Services – Hostels have washing machines and dedicated cleaning staff. Water Coolers & Geysers – Available in hostels for drinking water and hot water needsCurfew Timings Girls’ hostels have a stricter curfew compared to boys’ hostels. Boys’ hostel has more flexibility but requires permission for late-night outings. Noise Restrictions – Students are expected to maintain silence during late-night hours. Guest Policy – Visitors are not allowed inside rooms, but designated visitor areas exist.IIITDMJ’s hostel facilities are well-maintained, secure, and provide a good student environment. The WiFi, common areas, and food are decent, and social life is vibrant with sports and club activities. If you can adjust to hostel food and occasional WiFi slowdowns, you’ll have a comfortable stay!
Admission
I mainly focussed on the placements.To get admission in this college you need to give jee mains and should earn a very good percentile. In my rank range this is the college that has a very good placements and also as i am looking for cse branch
Faculty
For cse the student and teacher ratio is not that good but for other branches it is nice.I have very much liked my dbms professor .The course curriculum is very much related to the gate exam Actually there will be 4 set of exams .quiz 1 midsem quiz2 endsem.Mostly the paper will be on difficult side and also it depends on the professor.
Night Life
IIITDM Jabalpur, being an institute focused on academics and research, doesn’t have a nightlife like metropolitan cities.
