Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would rate the course curriculum around 6.5–7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it covers core subjects of Computer Science like programming, data structures, databases, and AI basics, which are important for building a technical foundation. The curriculum gives a good theoretical base, but it is not fully aligned with current industry requirements. For real-world applications like data science, development, or AI, we need to learn additional tools and skills on our own. Areas for improvement: More focus on practical learning and real-world projects Inclusion of updated technologies and industry tools Better teaching methods (interactive and hands-on learning) Exams & Difficulty Level: There are 2 mid-sem exams and 1 end-sem exam per semester. Exams are moderate in difficulty—easy to clear with regular study, but scoring high requires proper understanding. Overall: The curriculum is decent for basics, but students need to do self-learning and skill development to become industry-ready. I don't like really course structure this most theory based on not focus on practical skills.

Internships Opportunities

3

The college provides regular internship opportunities through the career development cell (CDC) , but students need to crack them on their own based on skills ( technical+ communication) Recently, a company named Eklavya Solution offered a Summer Internship Program with roles like: AI engineer Data analyst Software development engineer Product manager Total 18 openings with PPO ( pre- placement offer ) opportunities. Stipends vary depending on role and performance. Reality check College give access and information, but selection depends completely on the students skills , preparation, and communication, . Without proper skills, ir is difficyto get selected..

Placement Experience

4

Placement at SKITM are decent and improving year by year . Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Reputed companies like TCS,wipro , Infosys and some emerging firms visit the campus. The averages package is around 3-4 LPA ,while the higher goes upto 6-7 LPA in some cases . Around 60% students get placed , especially those who have good technical skills and communication skills. The college also provide basic training and guidance for placements, which helps students prepare for interview The college provide some support, but it is not enough for high - paying jobs, so students need to prepare on their own.

Fees and Financial Aid

I belong to the OBC category and my yearly fee is around ?70,000, which is fixed and has not increased during my course. This includes tuition, lab, development, and other academic charges. A small caution fee was taken once, which is refundable. I also receive an OBC scholarship of around ?27,000 per year, which reduces my effective fee to about ?43,000 annually. Compared to other categories, general category students pay higher fees (around ?80,000–?1,00,000 per year), while SC/ST students get more fee relaxation through scholarships. Overall, the fee structure is affordable and manageable, especially with the scholarship support.

Campus Life

4

My overall campus life experience has been decent and socially engaging. social life and clubs : There are multiple student club in the college, and currently, the Oasis Club. Is the most active one, it regularly organized events , competition, and cultural activities, which helps students stay engaged and biluild confidence. Fest and Events: The college organize annual cultural fests and technical events , usually held between February to april . These events include coding compition, cultural programs and sports activities like volleyball, chess , cricket, carrom etc . Library: The library has a good collection of academic books and some journals, mainly focused on the syllabus. It is useful for exam preparation, though not very extensive for advanced learning. Sports : Basic sports facilities are available like cricket, carrom, volleyball and indoor games . Students can participate in inter - college competition as well. Overall Campus life is good if you actively participate.

Hostel Facilities

2

To get a hostel, students need to register and pay around 3000 rupees as caution money which is refundable along with 36000 rupees for the first semester hostel fees. The process is simple and based on availability. Rooms are basic ,but manageable, with essential facilities like bed ,chair study table , cooler , fan, almirah etc ,overall decent for students. The message quality is good compared to typical hostels and one positive point is that students can have input in deciding the meal menu, which improves satisfaction. PG / Rented Accommodation There are PGs and rooms available near the college at very affordable rates around the 3000 rupees per month If someone prefers city life, areas like vijay nagar , Geeta bhawan, Bholaram Ustad Marg , and Bhawarkuan offer better rooms around 4000 per month with more facitand cities access .

Admission

Honestly I don't want to get admission in this college but Comparatively others private college Patel college, etc... I choose my college mainly because of its affordable fees structure and proximity to my location, compared to other colleges i considered. I HAD ALSO LOOKED AT A few other private college, but their fees were higher and not feasible for me . Overall , it was a balanced choice considering cost and accessibility. The Admission process was simple ànd smooth. My overall admission experience was easy and hastle free . Without much complexity. Overall I didn't choose to his college as my first preference, but it turned out to be a decent option considering my situation. With self effort, students can still build good skills and career opportunities.

Faculty

3

There are mostly proffessor are good and knowledgeable but some are rude . The faculty at my college is a mix of experienced and average teachers. The faculty-to-student ratio is decent (around 1:25–30), so managing classes is not an issue. Most faculty members are approachable and helpful, especially during exams and project work. Some teachers are really supportive and explain concepts clearly, which helps in understanding subjects better. However, a few faculty members rely more on traditional teaching methods and focus mainly on theory rather than practical knowledge. Overall, the faculty-student relationship is good, and you can approach teachers for doubts or guidance. I personally liked some faculty members who were supportive and explained topics in a simple way, especially during labs and viva. I didn’t find any faculty very bad, but some could improve their teaching methods and engagement. Course Structure & Curriculum: The course follows a standard university curriculum. It covers core subjects, but some topics feel a bit outdated and less aligned with current industry needs. So, self-study and extra skill development are important. Exam System & Marking Scheme: There are 2 mid-sem exams called MST1 and MST2 and 1 end-sem (final) exam each semester. Internal marks are based on mid-sems, assignments, and attendance. External marks come from the final university exam. The exams are moderate in difficulty—not very hard if you study properly. Most students pass, but those who don’t study regularly may get backlogs. Overall: Faculty support is decent, exams are manageable, but students need to put extra effort for practical skills and placements.

Night Life

4

There is almost no nightlife around the campus, as the college is located in a rural area near Tillore village near Rallamnodal senchury Park. The surrounding area quite with very limited options for late- night activities. Inside campus, there are very few hangout options, outside campus, also not available nearby. Most students spend time in hostel rooms or with friends in campus.

From the 4th semester student can apply for internships and for placement student should be in 5th semester of his or her college life. There's very difficulties in getting placed by the company because few of the company comes to college and very fewer gets placed. So student must develop the skills on their own and apply for off campus selection. More than 8.5 cgpa for average package and more than 9 cgpa is required for a good company... I'm planning to give upsc exams after graduation
