Course Curriculum Overview

5

I love for Maths is the main reason I choose this subject. The curriculum prepares me to think different way of research work and how we can apply each and every concepts of maths in real life applications. In maths the only method to teach is using chalk and blackboard no new techniques are required. The examination timing and the level of examination is quite good for end semester. But for midsemester the timing is little short with great difficult questions

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I paid is ?82,000. In this Tuition fees is ?25000, no caution fees. Registration fees is ?1000, admission fees ?10000, lab fees?12000 , if non karnataka then ?10000 etc... . In case of my batchmate, if they are not from karnataka they need to pay ?10000.So for the people from karnataka yearly fees will be ?72000. There are several scholarship like merit, financial aid etc...

Campus Life

5

We celebrate our annual day in the month of April, and all relegious festivals, intra college fest in August and intercollege fest in February. Our college library has vast source. People from other college come just to visit our college library because of the different and vast sources of books, question papers, journels etc. Each class room are connected with projecter for live learning. We have good sports mentor and good equipments and ground . Apart from studies they encourage in sports. We have our student portal from college to acces old question papers e- resource book etc

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel facilities are not up to the mark because a small room with cot, lambtable and a single Beaurea. We have separate study room, laúndry area. We can charge our phones in study room. The menu and meal of the food is good comparing to other hostel or pg. Registration and admission process is very simple.

Admission

I joined this college in my UG. For PG I applied in MCC, Loyola, Stella maris in chennai . During interview I'm not comfortable and liked the way the non teaching staff and teachers treated and behaved with us. So I choosed my college. Though I got admission from other colleges I applied, I didn't feel satisfied with the atmosphere of that colleges. Hence I applied in my college, I was call down for interview with some basic question from UG . I got admitted . Since the eligibility is no backlogs in UG and should have more than 50%

Faculty

5

Currently there are six teachers taking class, including lab. There is a good relationship between faculties and students. The faculties are also easily approachable. From these 6 people , I like Algebra, topology, measure and integration faculties because they are sweet, friendly, they make the subject easy and interesting. I don't like probablity and statistics and partial differential equaton teachers, because they are always irritating and confuse us the syllabus. There are 6 exams this semester and results aren't announced yet

Night Life

5

My hangout spot is library and cafeteria which closes at 8 pm. The campus timing is morning 6 to 8 pm. Class hours from 9 am to 4.30 pm. Hostel timings from 5.am to 6.pm.Outside university we have cafe, icecream shops, restaurants, park to enjoy. And all time securities are available and the locality is very much safe.

Other Applied Colleges

Madras Christian College | Master of Science (Mathematics)

I didn't like the atmosphere and behaviour of the staffs

Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable
