Course Curriculum Overview

5

The syllabus is very deep . It covers almost every aspect of graduation level and gives immense knowledge about it . We have our mid semester exams also , whose marks are added to the end final exams , every semester.

Internships Opportunities

5

Various tech companies offer internships to students of particular branches . They get to learn many insights of the corporate world with a handsome experience and paycheck based on their performance. They get to do surveys and organise meetings and promotional activities for fundings too.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am from Sri Venkateshwara College Delhi University South Campus , currently pursuing BA History Hons. I am in my First Year 2nd Semester. My annual fee which I paid during the time of admission was Rs. 19875 This was the total I paid for 1st Year . Currently I have no scholarships.

Campus Life

5

Social life in my college is very diverse . We have students from every corner of the world . We get to share and learn new insights of every other life . We have different societies which provides a platform to showcase your talents. Various clubs are there such as dramatics club , sports club , etc.

Admission

Admission process is through CUET UG . We have to appear for this exam after giving 12th Boards . The syllabus of CUET is almost same as the boards. It is a objective based test , and the marks will decide your college . One has to make a preference of colleges and universities one want to enroll in , and the final allocation will be based on the cutoff list .

Faculty

4

In my history department there are almost 10 professors , which teach 3 batches . They all are very experienced with some having degrees and recognitions from abroad. They are very helpful , will provide every reading you need and require . Not only academics , they will mentor you about your future . Talking about exams , I have total 7 subjects , 3 Main papers of history , 1 compulsory paper from other department ( mine is political Science) , one Skill enhancement course and a value addition course. We studied one indian language in 1st sem and 2nd sem we have EVS ..

Interview Experience

5

No I did not prepare any interview for the admission. I just give the CUET UG and my admission was done on the basis of my marks. THE SYLLABUS OF CUET UG IS ALMOST SIMILAR TO WHAT WE HAVE GIVEN IN OUR 12TH BOARDS.

Night Life

5

Night life is very good . In summer season I with my friends take a walk across the campus ( obviously outside the college as it gets closed ) and enjoy the lightning and decoration. One can click good pictures and record them for memories . Trust me , it will be a heartfelt experience.

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Many companies come as ever since USME has been installed at the east campus the tie-ups with the brands happened before that. So we were etaught accordingly the war corporate wanted us and that is how this has been done with solid precision and thus our placements have never jolted.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .
