Course Curriculum Overview

3

From beginning I had much curiosity in things around me that compels me to chose this physics field. The scope along with being a physicist is Professor or reaseach work in industry and field and scientist of materials or atrophysics. The course curriculam was good help in strenghtening my basic theory foundation of each subject in physics but it lacks the problem solving skills like numericals solving problems practices in class or in exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

I haven't done internship but joined in many techno workshop organized by MRF innovation park in which one of my project of Blind stick got selected. they also come out for funding our innovation to encourage entrepreneurship which is also a great idea and many innovation cells started to come with fashion technology park.

Placement Experience

2

Placements are quite good enough with average package of 2-2.5 lac per annum. I was more interested into further masters study so didn't borther much about participating in college placements. but one of my college friend was in HSS department got into HR of 11 lac package per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure varies for the different streams MCC holds two stream Aided (government half funded) and Self Financed (like private). I was in Aided stream so my college annual fees were much less as compared to Self financed stream and the college academic fees gets reduce per year. First year- 25000/- Second year- 11000/- Third year- 8000/- But the Hostel and Messing fees were same for all that is around 62,000/- per year. But in Self Financed the fees payment was based on semester First Year- 30,000/- per sem Second Year- 22,500/- per sem Third Year - 12,500/- per sem And messing fee we need to pay after every month the average of 4,000/- for veg food and added amount for non-veg intake.

Campus Life

5

Campus life was too good as being around forest situated college filled with green bushes and trees along with wild creatures like dear, peacock, monkey roaming freely on campus's classes, roads, corridors. with old ancient infrastured big seminar kind of class and enthused with inter-hall cultural and sports fest.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities is nice but not enough as the hostel do not provide Fan and bedding mattress you have to get your own and mess food being just healthy but not good in taste wise, me belonging from north I didn't enjoy the south meals and lose lot of weight. Never got chance to enjoy night life in campus due to strict regulation of girl's hostel with 7:30 pm curfew time and roll call after that with MCC Initiation tradition that goes with ducking in hostel pond.

Admission

The reviews being good with high ranking and college environment with enthused challenges tasks , competition with the MCC Traditions disciplines help me to earn the stress management . I had applied for many colleges in south as per the rank and got selected in WCC and Stella Maris and eventually got selected but during the pandemic time being online classroom i couldn't decide much and seeing its better review than others help me to choose this college

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is 60:19 and they being very friendly and cooperative in nature. Among them Dr. P Subhashini mam and Larny Mary Jayan , Dr. Nirmal Thyagu being an open box thinker and Dr. Caroline Victoria were the most friendly nature. There is three ICA (Internal Continuous Assesment ) and one final Sem exam in each semester. In ICA consist of 2 exams written and third being special exam which was in the form of quiz or presentation or project depends on course's professor and out of these three ICA best of two is taken into consideration.

Night Life

5

One of the main attraction was old , big library of the campus and being good hangout places and many are the like lake, bishop church and bio-tank, guttera filled with giggles and gossips, stone bench.

Other Applied Colleges

Women's Christian College - [WCC] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Physics)

After the reviews and comparison between the two colleges MCC has higher NIRF ranking than WCC and the faculty facilities and learning enviroment and many more to explore in MCC.

Studying nutrition and Dietetics helps individual develop valuable skills in communication, problem solving, research and analytical thinking. Opportunity includes research and development for new food products. The department can lead to careers in universities as professors or research scientist. Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc computer science because I'm interested in IT jobs and want become a developer. The syllabus is useful for real world learning and it covers important basics. i found subjects like c programming very helpful for understanding core concepts. the curriculum is decent but it needs more practical sessions and better lab facilities. the software and systems in the lab should also be updated. we follow a semester system, and the exams test both theory and practical knowledge. overall the course is good, but more hands on training would make it even better.
