Agurchand Manmull Jain College, also known as AM Jain College (AMJC), is a private, autonomous college. It was established in 1952 and is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated with the University of Madras. Also, it has been accredited by NAAC and recognised by UGC.
AMJC offers a wide range of UG, PG and PhD courses in different fields. Students can choose from both aided and self-financed programs. The college offers B.Sc. as its flagship course with a first-year tuition fee ranging between INR 44,800 - INR 79,600, depending on the specialisation. Admission to all UG and PG programs is purely merit-based on the last qualifying exam.

AMJC Placement
As per the NIRF report 2024, a total of 1373 students in UG programs and 48 students in PG programs were placed during the AMJC Placement.
For UG students, the salary has not changed much. In 2021-22, the median package was INR 2.40 lakh. Next year, it went up slightly to INR 2.50 lakh. In 2023-24, it went up to INR 2.52 lakh. This reflects an overall growth of just 5% in three years, which is quite low.
For PG students, the placement is much better in comparison to UG trends. In 2021-22, the median package was INR 2.10 lakh. In 2022-23, it went down to INR 1.80 lakh. But in 2023-24, it increased to INR 2.40 lakh. This is almost a 14% growth in three years, which is much stronger than UG.
