Course Curriculum Overview

2

I chose Ba english as my course to study, the curriculum was not much hard during the 1year later they bought additional and unnecessary informations in the text from later on and some texts books are not even published, so we have to buy the texts from our seniors or take copies of the text really annoying the kerala educational department I would is not that effective.Uncessary topics should be removed from the upcoming modified curriculum, as the exam is difficult( in behalf and opinion of My all other friends) they provide 3hours for every exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college collects about 10500 during every sem. No allowance to the students are provided in my college. As my college is a management college and I haven't received my admission based on merit I have taken seat provided by giving them an amount of 50000rs at the starting of my college, and only my two other friends have got seat like me too by providing the same amount that I have provided. To be honest, the infrastructure of the college is very poor and the bathrooms are a real message. The college union had tried many times to bring this problem into their attention but no use.Our union is also not that powerful too, in my opinion I would say they are taking a lot of money in the name of exam fees sem fees donation etc, but there is no use and nothing is special about it. As I have become a third year student now, I can truly say that the two years that I have studied they only have took money for students but no good infrastructure or privileges are provided in my college that I can assure for truly.

Campus Life

3

The campus life, I would say I'm not so much of a interested person in joining club and club activities, the classes I have already mentioned before some are very boring and not that interesting cause of the teachers, as they don't wants the students to understand. They just completes their portions and goes the cabin after the period and that's it infrastructure I would say the only good place they have modified is the main building, the other places like bathrooms and parking areas condions are poor. The library have a lot of collection of books but most books available are malayalam. Rihwa college union program conduct on on every February of the month, freshers day mostly on September or October month after the arrival of the new students. Cultural fest are held and christmas celebration, onam celebration's etc are held in my college. Any student can access the library but one should get membership to accesss it and must renew the membership when you complete the milestone of 50 books. The facilities in my classroom I would say is no use two fans are for 24 childrens in the class, the boy's side fan sometimes doesn't works and sometimes does, but mostly powercuts happen everytime and comes back.Sportsday and sports meet are conducted but as I'm not a student of sports i don't know much about it.Yeah I think there are some student run social groups or clubs in the college.

Admission

I had applied to three more other colleges after my +2, Boby John Memorial Government college, TKM college of engineering and Alpha college kollam are the collages that I applied to. I got placement in the Alpha college kollam and two of my friends got admission too, but my father was not willing to send me at a college that is too long from my hometown so he told me to apply for the private seat in the college in which Im studying and I got my admission here.Yeah I got rejection from the the baby john memorial Government college and TKM college of engineering,as the required more percentage in marks to get selected. The admission process was not that long in my college, My father inquired about the process to a friend whose sone had already studied there,He said we should have to invest a permanent amount of 50000rs for the seat confirmation and admission and then I had to pay 10500rs during every sem I went with my father to take admission, gave cash and signed some documents and they introduced me to some teachers and later at the month of September my classes started.

Faculty

2

About t 1 lakh students study on the institution, the exams are conducted after every 3 months(sem) the exams are tough according the year from 2nd to 3rd year I would say. The faculty is not hats much efficient towards the needs of the students, the course curriculum is very hard to study and understand(really annoying). About 16 students in 24 in my class have failed the previous exam and going for a second attempt soon.

Night Life

1

I'm not in hostel,as my home is only about 6km away from the college there is no night life or anything that I could say about. The campus starts 10:00am and closes at 3:30pm some places to roam inside the capuse are, atree near the canteen to get fresh air and shade and the canteen backside where we can se a small lake that's all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is suitable for the modern age of teaching, the way of education is well balanced with projects, assignments, presentations and also notes .we have reading assignments where the faculty members ask us to read an entire book and give our review on it.the exams are quiet moderate and in my opinion teachers should use more ai tools as a learning aid which will be more effective for the students

Placement Experience:

From the last semester pass out we a re eligible for the campus recruitment for job or placement. So many companies visit us for the interview or some checking like , hero honda , maruti suzuki etc. the main reason for it was a low amount of budget is that get from this placement maybe 15 thousand let month ect. Only the company can take the students for it so the percentage of the students who getting placement will change in every year. My plan was to get an admission in the central government University for doing master of degree in History. And try the best exam called upsc.

Economic somehow teaches us how to manage in real world.. I can connect a lot more to real world while learning economics. It is a little too difficult to learn for sem exams. The sem exam is just in 50/70 marks.. The exam timing is 1 1/2 or 2 hrs.

The college provided classes to enhance interview skills. The college also provided opportunities to prepare Resume, Curriculum Vitae and conducted mock interviews to enhance their confidence level. Most of the students got placed who attended the interviews. I am planning to go for higher studies. I am planning to pursue Masters in English Literature. EVERY COLLEGE HAS SOME POSITIVE AND SOME NEGATIVE POINTS. POSITIVE POINTS INCLUDES CARRIER OF STUDENT AS THIS IS A TECHNICAL INSTITUTES IT IS BETTER THAN GENERAL DEGREE COLLEGE WHICH ONLY DISTRIBUTES CERTIFICATES. PRESENT TIME IS OF TECHNOLOGY SO TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE IS VERY NECESSARY. THIS INSTITUTES PROVIDES JOB AFTER COMPLETATION OF COURSE. IT PROVIDES HOSTEL FACILITY FOR STUDENT WHOSE HOME IS BEYOND 60KM. HOSTEL FACILITU IS VERY GOOD. THREE TIMES MEALS ARE PROVIDED ON NORMAL RATES THAT IS ?56 PER DAY.
