Remarks

This college is recommended only if you want to join CS or IS and have a good placement opportunities. Other than that curriculum and exams are bad. Infrastructure is good. Atmosphere is pleasant. Place (Mysuru) is calm.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is nothing different from the VTU syllabus. It is all the same. Curriculum is out dated and it does not include modern technology. It does not give any logical , mathematical and industrial knowledge instead all it could give is theory that too about old technologies.

Internships Opportunities

College is not giving any internship itself although college invites companies those hire the people for internships and full time. Many companies like cisco, intuit, hp came. And some of our batch mates got just internship and some got full time along with internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Actually placements are good. But only for CS and IS.Average for EE and EC. Not good for others. I am giving negative remarks on college but a big thumbs to placements. Many tier 1 companies like SAP, Intuit, Oracle, HP, Dell, Cisco came to our college for hiring. Also IBM, SIEMENS, Texas instruments,Shell IT and others. Some of the good startups came.

College Events

4

TECHNIEKS is the biggest event that is being conducted in our college. It is conducted once in a year. On the behalf of that many cultural activites and competitions are conducted. Sports and games are held. Other than that many individual branch fests are conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If a student gets through cet around 50000 would be the government fee and in addition to that around 10 to 15000 is to be paid to the college. Comed-k fee structure is actually costly which is around 1.5 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

College itself is not giving any scholarship. But if we get the scholarship from somewhere else college office helps with the needs. Loan is not given by the college. We can get student loan from banks.

Campus Life

4

As said on behalf of fest many sports are held. The interested people can attend and sometimes even can represent the college at places. Labs, play grounds and others are sufficient for us. Extracurricular activities take a small part, studies are given the primary importance.

Hostel Facilities

4

College hostel demands around 60-70 thousand per year. Hostel is fairly neat, secured and under surveillance. There is no ragging. Food facility is sufficient and taste is above average. Cleanliness and other facilities are good.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network includes many famous people like N R Narayana Murthy of Infosys. Many alumni contributed to the college infrastructure. There by students are getting help. But individually I haven't seen any alumnus in touch with a batch or a class.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is not thought provoking. It only says mug up and reproduce. Exams mostly contain theory which is memorizing only. It is not giving any technical knowledge and makes no sense. We find it very boring instead of exciting.

Admission

I needed to clear either cet or comed-k to get the admission. But since comed-k entrance is costly opted cet only. When I finished my Karnataka cet I secured around 9000 rank. With rural quota I was supposed to get this college. After document verification in kcet web portal I got to know that I got this college. I came to the college to finish final steps of my admission process.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty aren't that good. Some of the experienced lecturers are there who are already at least 50 but in 4 years even from them we didn't get any greater knowledge. Even they lack industrial experience and they don't know how to teach. All they know is theory. Can't rely on them for the sake of our future.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
