Likes

It has a good environment, good scenery.
It has many trees , surrounded by jungles due to which we can breath natural air
Teachers are friendly nature, helps in our personal life as well as.

Dislikes

Roads are not good, many vehicles passed every day by our road

Course Curriculum Overview

Since i am doing Btech , it is a good course of four years, we have to appear two exams each year almost each exam of 7-9 subjects. We also have practical exams . Since it is a engineering college we have to do things practically

Internships Opportunities

Yes internship opportunities are available in our colleges. Oil India Limited, Indian Oil corporation Limited , etc companies give the opportunities for internship. Every year we have to do one internship. Internships are taken seriously by our professors, marks are given badmaed on our internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Aince it is a government college , it doesn't take too much fees, in oneyear it takes only 40000 including exam fees, fest money , course registration fees .. It is good for middle class family since it has a low fee structure

Campus Life

Yes we have different clubs of different prospects like robotics club, coding club, nss , jam club etc, we also have a self defence club which helps our studnets to get taught for self defence. We have college week in which different games are held between hostels.

Hostel Facilities

We have a good facility in hostel. We provided a double room in first, second year and single room in third , fourth year.. Almost every students gets hostel.. Hostel fees are low , around 10000 rupees are taken for admission and each month 2500 is taken for food.

Admission

It is the oldest college of northeast India. We have most experience faculties of Assam. We get the best knowledge from our teachers. We have the most popular cultural fest. Bollywood aingers are invited in our college fest

Faculty

Faculty members are good . All are experienced professors since it is a old college. We have 4 year course , in each year we have 2 semesters , all total ee have 8 semesters. Our exams are held strictly. Classes are held regularly

Night Life

We had a great nightlife experience. A good view is there. All students come out in night for cup of tea, go ut for walks . Hostel intimes are there like 10 pm around. College are open like 4 pm. A library is provided.

NIT Silchar Review: Campus, Career and Career Prospects

Placement Experience:

NIT Silchar has decent placement stat. Approx 75 percent student got placement from campus and they got decent package. In NIT Silchar from 7th semester students are eligible for placement and company comes whole year for recruiting. Approx 100 company visit the college throughout the year. In tech Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart and more companies come. For core L&T, Adani, Tata Steel and more companies come. For service base Infosys, TCS, Wipro will come and give good offer. Highest package will come from tech company and that is 52lpa and average from all companies will lie from 10 to 12 lpa . My plans is that in my 4th year atleast I will get one job. If I don't get job then I will try from off campus or giving paper for government job

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

Placement Experience:

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

Not good at all placements. Worst placement college that is ever been. They couldn't get companies coming to this college after such long times. The only companies which comes gives packeges as low as 200000 per annum. which is worst in these present times.
