Course Curriculum Overview
My course is Bachelor of technology in computer science and engineering. Faculties should teach us more practicals than theoritical knowledge because our course is based on practical knowledge, The frequency and timing of exams are average.
Internships Opportunities
Our college provide internships for the students every year, The companies are NIELIT, APDCL etc, We do projects with the help of seniors of the institute. We did minor group project in 6th sem and major group project in 7th sem.
Placement Experience
After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. The companies visited are Madify, Vodafone, PCS global, Teachnook, Ediglobe etc. Average package is 4,00,000 rs, highest is 10,00,000 as per my knowledge, the percentage of students getting placed is about 10% to 20%. My plan after getting the degree to do a job based on my course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The admission fee for my course is 30,000 and security fee is 10,000. Apart from this, the administrative fee is 25,000; portal fee is 3,000; registration fee is 12,000; and the apply fee is 500 rs, hence some students got the offer of scholarship.
Campus Life
Annual festival's name is ATTITUDE which is held in february or march of every year for 2-3 days. Our library is very large, and almost every kind of books are available, Every classroom of our college has smart board, which makes teaching and learning easier. Every year sports activies are held which offers many sports competition.
Admission
I only applied for Assam down town University. I choosed this college because I saw some videos and informations of this college in social media and I though to take admission in this college. I didn't get rejection from other colleges. Our admission process of our college is simple, first I applied for my course for 500 rs, then after few days I took admission by visiting the campus, also people can take their admission in online mode also. There is no need to appear in exam to take admission.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is almost 1:20; The faculties are friendly and they help each students for their development. In one semester there are 2 sessional exams carrying 30 marks each and one final exam carrying 60 marks.
Night Life
There is one gym inside our college and one outside our college, there are many cafeterias around our college, their closing time depends upon them, mostly 9 pm. Hostel closing time is 6 pm. Famous hangout places inside our campus is canteen, rooftop cafe, amphitheatre etc. The locality is safe to roam around at night.
