Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is very good and It changes from time to time as per market requirement in the industry. Like my course is Bcom ( Finance and Investment) and I have choosen this course because I want to gain a very good knowledge in field of stock market and how it works. If you want to do CFA ( Chartered Financial Analyst) . Then this course is for you.

Internships Opportunities

4

Christ University provides excellent internship opportunities for commerce students, collaborating with reputed companies across various sectors such as finance, accounting, auditing, marketing, and consulting. Some of the prominent companies that offer internships to students include Deloitte, KPMG, EY (Ernst & Young), PwC, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Infosys. These internships help students gain practical experience, develop industry-specific skills, and build professional networks. Stipends vary depending on the company and role, typically ranging from ?5,000 to ?25,000 per month, with higher stipends offered for roles in investment banking, financial analysis, and consulting. Many students also receive pre-placement offers (PPOs) based on their performance during the internship, making these opportunities a crucial stepping stone for their careers.

Placement Experience

4

From 2 year you will be eligible for internship and for permanent job you will be eligible in 3rd year. Companies like jp Morgan Chase, standard chartered Bank, zomato, Deloitte e&y are some major companies who visits The highest package will be around 1400000 and average package will be around 600000 Around 80% of student will get selected My plans after this degree I will do 2 year job for some work experience then I will do my masters in finance or I will open up my own business

Fees and Financial Aid

Christ University has a tuition fee structure that varies based on the student's state of domicile. For general category students, the annual tuition fee is ?1,60,000, while Karnataka state students benefit from a concession, with their tuition fee set at ?1,20,000 per year. In addition to the tuition fee, all students are required to pay a one-time registration fee of ?5,000 at the time of admission. It is important to note that the tuition fees at Christ University experience a marginal increase every year, which means students should anticipate a slight rise in the cost of education as they progress through their academic programs. This incremental change is typically made to accommodate inflation, infrastructure improvements, and academic advancements, ensuring that students receive high-quality education and facilities. And for the students who wants to do honours degree then 4th year fees will be 2,00,000

Campus Life

3

The overall campus life is good. Some major events happens in college are blossom, extravaganza, prayas etc. All the classroom are equipped with projector and charging point for all the students. In library there are lot of books it will not be a problem for students to issue books from library

Admission

There were several reasons for choosing this college over other because other colleges does not provide specialization in finance and investment which is provided by this college. Second there fees structure is good as compare to other private colleges. I have also applied for Delhi University but I got rejected for North campus because I have less marks then the actual cut off the main reason behind less marks is general awareness test it's very difficult. If you want to get good marks in that read current affairs daily preparation for that can't be done just before exam The admission process of christ university is first you need to fill a registration form which is of 1500 rupees then there is a written exam and then a personal interview. If you pass in both written exam and interview then you will get selected

Faculty

4

The overall ratio of faculty and students is goo. All the faculty is very professional. And they are very approachable to students. The course structure is very decent for my course i.e. Bcom ( Finance and Investment) . The course structure changes time to time according to the market requirement. They have 4 exams in 1 semester.

Night Life

4

There are lots of gym available near college only and our college also has a gym inside the campus only. College cafeteria is good and hygienic. Library open on 8 in morning and close on 9 in night . There are many places to hangout near college

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
