Remarks

I like to point out some pros and cons of the college Pros 1. It is the open university and professional get educated while working 2. The schedule of the classes are quite flexible 3. The flexibility in the curriculum 4. No pressure for the study. Cons 1. A study environment is missing 2. Sometimes it feels like its not education but just formality

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is quite wide. MA psychology course is so tricky pity wide. Anyone who are looking for the open source of study medium for the psychology course i refer it to chose IGNOU. The curriculum contains 6 theory and 1 practical subject. cognitive psychology, social psychology, life span psychology are the main core subjects here.

Internships Opportunities

The college is providing 240 hours of training cum internship in the second year. I am in the first year, so i haven't experience the internship. But when I talk with the seniors of my batch they told me that you have to complete your training under jitendra nagpal sir, who is a renowned psychiatrist in India.

Placement Experience

3.5

IGNOU are frequently organising their Job fair in the main campus. There are ample amount of opportunities for the graduates and post graduates to select the best career for themselves. The placement is depend on oneself. if you study hard you get the placement.

College Events

1.5

IGNOU hasn't celebrated more of the events but afew. We should consider the enrollment of maximum students is professionals. They can't come to college every sinple day and every single every. But we celebrate events like Mental Health Day ADHD awareness day Annual day

Fee Structure And Facilities

We paid Rs 8000 for the whole year. I think IGNOU is providing education in the cheapest form. Everybody are so capable to pay this nominal amount to the university and got ample amount of opportunities in the return.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware with the fee waiver opportunity with the college. I wasn't thinking about getting scholarship from the college so haven't think about it. But IGNOU might be offering scholarships to the low income participants.

Campus Life

3.5

We are in MA psychology and our center of education is Moolchand hospital. We have psychometric labs to perform the psychometric tests but the sports activites are not present in the campus. Well, inside the hospital sports activities are not possible.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

There is no hostel facilites in the IGNOU. The thing I dislike the most is the absense of hostel facilities in university campus. But the college ccanteen is quite good you can enjoy the snacks, south Indian food there.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no bonding with the seniors and the alumni as well. We have separate classes in our schedule. So, we hardly meet even a single time in a class. The senior and alumni are not helpful at all in the IGNOU

Exam Structure

The exam structure are quite simple. we have 6 theory subjects and one practical subject. IGNOU conduct external exams once in a year and you have to submit all the assignments before filling up the exam form.

Admission

The admission procedure is quite simple. IGNOU conduct their admission twice a year and the whole procedure are last upto 1-2 month. The first batch admission was help in July 2018, and current batch admission was held in January,2019. The procedure is quite simple. You just have to upload your documents online, payment gateway is also online. The information of the classes are also come directly on your mail or cell number.

Faculty

2.5

We have college counselors as our faculty they are pity experience. But If you ask me to weak point of the IGNOU MA psychology is the faculty. The faculty can be more serious towards their teaching and take regular classes.

In IGNOU, you can study from anywhere because the courses are offered in distance and online mode. You don’t have to attend regular college; you can study at home using the books, PDFs, and online lectures. IGNOU also provides online teachers through live classes, recorded videos, and doubt-clearing sessions on their online platforms. This makes it easy for students to learn even if they are working or living in another city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For the course i must say that this is something everyone needs to study about even if it's for just a part. We have ethics, moral, cultural relativism and etc. In our syllabus and it all really help to make our thinking rational, to see World from that point of view from where one can see the clarity. It's really necessary for improvement in personality and making good decision. I think there's need for making this course more practical like teaching, we can teach students about essentials of philosophy for there betterment of decision making from an early age.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant and covers all the history topics comprehensively. The study material is very good as many upsc aspirants and students preparing for competitive exams refer it. Though the curriculum can be improved by limiting and only adding the essential topics in it. There is too much of unnecessary information which makes it difficult to understand at times.
