Course Curriculum Overview

5

For CS and related branches: the course structure is very precise than other colleges. There are subjects like cloud computing, blockchain, machine learning, artificial intelligence, system design. There is one programming language in every semester so till end og secong year a student learn C, Python and Java. Then student can prefer his/her language and continue with that language. If a student does the subjects of every semester with some leetcode practice daily and some good projects then he will grab a good placement no doubtedly. Sometimes the curriculum becomes hectic but student should be able to manage it.

Internships Opportunities

5

every department provides internship opportunities in final year to students who are interested. Some are paid some are unpaid. Some students opts for off campus internships too. Research projects are also opted by some students under the supervision of faculty

Placement Experience

4

placements starts right from third year. In third year companies mostly comes for internship plus placement offer, direct placement companies are less in third year. The highest package goes around 40 lpa by Nvidia, the average plackage for CS and related streams is 8 lpa, for mech, instru, chem it is 6 lpa. Total of 300 companies visit vit with top comaonies like morgan stanley, J P morgan , blackrock, siemens, IBM, MSCI, Barclays, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, BNY mellon, Nutanix, Pubmatic, Consultadd, Porter, Verisk

No extra or hidden charges through out the year. fee for OBC - 106000/- per year fee for SC/ST - 4000/- per year There are many scholarships available for girls based on merit and annual income of parents

Campus Life

5

Vishwakarandak is annual cultural fest, inter department fest. People really enjou during this fest. Many activities right from sport to tech hackathons are conducted during this fest and one department is emerges as the winner. It is four day long fest. Other fest like traditional day, prom night are also conducted every year. Students run various activities through socities like shivaji jayanti, independence day celebration. One trek is organised every year. Talking about library, it have plently of books but very few people visits library brcause nowadays everyone refers learning through online and stuff.

Admission

placements of vit is good after coep, pict and cummins. The cutoff of vit is neither very high so everyone above 97 percentile in MHTCET is likely to get admission at VIT. (above 95 percentile trough spot round) Also vit have good clubs like IEEE, MLSC (tech clubs), enterpreneur club, extracurrilcular clubs like dance and social activty clubs which students can be a part of and enjoy their college life. One can choose VIT mechanical, instrumentation over lower college CS because the placemets of these branches are also good but core companies only. The living costs in bibwewadi are much lower than other parts of pune therfore people prefer vit.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty are phd holders. some faculty are great. Faculty from CS, IT and AIDS department are good. mid sem and end sems are conducted every semester with passing percentage of 95%. The faculty to student ratio is 1:50. Some faculties are really helpful in assessing students with their academics. There are many new faculty hired recetly for CS branches.

Night Life

5

No night life VIT. gates are closed at 9 pm. but people roam arounf near VIT like khau galli for dinner and streets of bibwewadi. there are many crimes increased in bibwewadi area so its unsafe to be on streets at night. People mostly live in private hostel or rents a flat. many Hostel options are available near vit which are good with mess facility.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
