I like the college environment and campus
I like the supportive nature of faculties
I also like their teaching ways and also their discipline and dedication

Dislikes

There was less events and sports activities
Placements were less than could be improved
Also a bit advance technology may be included

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was awesome. I have got to learn a lot during my college days and also I got to explore a lot about my skills and talents due to this curriculum. I appreciate the college small events which help students to showcase their talents and skills.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 2000000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

It's a govt affiliated university so the fee structure was as per govt guidelines it was 30000 per semester for boys and a bit less for girls. Also there was scholarships for some students based on the reservation.

Campus Life

My whole campus life was good and I got to interact with so many people and I got to know a lot about their experiences and there were other activities in the college like clubs and certain other things like NCC and NSS.

Admission

Since I always wanted to study in a govt college so I have attempted an entrance exam and cleared and got the admission to this college. That's the main reason behind me taking addmission into this college.

Faculty

The faculty members were awesome. They are very cordial and supportive in naturem their dedication and determination towards their work was commendable. I also appreciate the number of hours they put into teaching their students efficiently. Examination system was good were taken three times a semester , which helps students to cover syllabus effectively.

Night Life

Since I was not a hosteller so don't know much about the night life but yeah whenever there were any technical fest or star night it was quite enjoyable and relaxing at the same time to break the monotonous routine of the college.

Great Learning, Friendly Campus, and Bright Future

Placement Experience:

Students can sit for job drives from the 7th term. In our college, firms like TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra visit. Most jobs are in coding, support, or test fields. The top pay was around ?10 LPA for a dev job. The usual pay is 3–4 LPA for most jobs. Nearly 60–70% of CS/IT students get jobs. Core jobs are less for other fields. My goal is to work for 1–2 years in tech and then go for higher study or skill-based role in top firm or startup.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 7th semester for campus placement but you can apply off-campus if you want. A lot of times off-campus placements are of better amount than on campus placements. Almost out of 400 students present in a year, 100 get very good on campus placements.(Almost above 10 lakhs) 100 get between 5-10 lakhs And rest ho for higher degrees although they get a placement of 4-5 lakhs

Most companies related to textile industries come for placement as it is one and only one government college in Himachal which offers textile engineering. The average package is about 6,7 lakhs Almost 30% students gets placed. My plan after degree is to pursue for my further studies

Great Learning, Friendly Campus, and Bright Future

I applied to AKTU, IPU, and a few private colleges. I got selected in 2, but picked this college as it has low fees, good teachers, and fair job offers. Seniors also gave good reviews about the labs and coding help. Yes, I could not get a seat in IPU due to low rank. I was close but missed the cutoff for CS. My JEE score was not high enough. I did not apply under spot round as I had already joined this college. Admission is based on JEE Main or state test like HPCET. Cutoffs differ for each branch. You need to pass 12th with PCM. I took HPCET and got in through state round. Process was easy and docs were checked online and in college....Read More
