Course Curriculum Overview

4

I particularly chose this course because in future I want to pursue the judiciary, so this will help me in achieving my goals. As far I know by the knowledge I gathered this curriculum is best suited to my pursuit. Everything is nice, but I think there must be an improvement in the teaching methods of the teachers they should have more interactive discussions so as to engage students in what they are teaching

Fees and Financial Aid

In starting while getting admission I have paid a sum of Rupees 13520 something which vary year to year. But once you enrolled you have to give rupees 9595 ever year which also vary year to year but remains nominal. The fee does not differ according to caste, it remains equal for everyone. If you opt for hostel you have to give rupees 6660 including the fees of mess for upcoming three months at the time of allotment and then subsequently 1520 every month including mess and other charges. The fee remains same for every category. As this is a central university so there are many opportunities for scholarships offered by government and other trusts etc.

Campus Life

4

Overall experience till now is good and still experiencing. Although in college campus you get to know different students from different backgrounds and areas which results into cultural and ethical assimilation. While interacting with them you not built your social interactions but also communication skills which proves to be beneficial for you in your college journey ahead. For books you can easily get them from local book store or the campus library which is Asia's biggest library (Maulana Azad library) . You can also get access of the books from college library from where you can issue the books at reason rate and can return after the semester is over. Our college have smart classrooms where teachers and professors teaches through ppts and visuals. There are many sports clubs and literary clubs in the campus which helps in the overall development of the students and helps to built their personality.

Hostel Facilities

4

The name of my hostel is Begum Sultan Jahan Hall. According to me the facilities provided in this hostel is the best out of any other hostel in the campus. It provides three seater room for first year students and two seater second year onwards. The beds and tables provided is of good quality and one can easily survive the hostel life. The three course meal is provided and all three are good enough to fulfill the hunger. You can simply register for hostel through allotment process at respective provost office. PG and rented rooms are also easily available around the college campus.

Admission

I have not applied to other colleges as I from starting wanted admission here and for that I have tried my best and finally got admitted here. The admission process is simple. You just have to give an entrance exam exam consisting of 100 marks which include different subjects like general knowledge, polity,a little bit of general science etc. You have to score maximum as to pass the cut off. The cut off varies every year and depends upon the difficulty level of the entrance exam. If you have dedicated at least 20 days I think you can definitely get selected.

Faculty

4

The faculty of law is quite small as compare to the number of students there. There are many faculties all over the campus like faculty of law, faculty of arts, faculty of theology etc which gives students a diverse perspective to study what they want to pursue in their future. The best faculties of our campus is the faculty of law and medicine. Students from all over India and also abroad came to study here in AMU in these faculties.

Night Life

4

In our college nightlife is not offered to hosteler girls and I being a hosteler has no such experience of how night looks like in my campus. Although we can get special outing for the night out . The timing of girl's hostel is 5.00 a.m to 5.30 p.m . And there are no such restrictions for boys , they can enter and exit whenever they want. There are many hangout places all over the university campus where we can enjoy at both day and night. The campus area is safe to roam around for both boys and girls but restrictions are posed on girls for extra safety .

Course Curriculum Overview:

There has lot of visits like court visit, parliament visit, etc The curriculum provides a basic foundation of theoretical knowledge that is useful for understanding core concepts and for pursuing further academic studies, such as higher education or competitive examinations. It helps develop analytical thinking and subject awareness. There is significant scope for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The syllabus should be updated regularly to include recent developments, practical modules, project-based learning, internships, workshops, and skill-enhancement courses.Examinations are conducted frequently in the form of internal assessments, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams, which sometimes creates academic pressure for students. The timing of exams is often closely packed, leaving limited time for proper preparation and revision. In terms of difficulty, the exams are generally of moderate level, though some subjects are challenging due to lengthy syllabi and conceptual depth.

Corporate Law is a subjects but no corporate placements as law firms were the sole contributors of our university. They gave as many placements as 30% students were placed and that too with very thin packages. So, university needs to fix this just like they have fixed every single thing at the campus.

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.

The college provide students with PDF lectures which focuses on personality development which includes confidence building, speaking and listening skills, etc. They also give tips for a better resume and how to give interview and prepare us for interviews by organising mock interviews. 5th year students are the focused students for the campus placement. Some students choose to be an advocate and others may prepare for higher studies and or prepare for judiciary and other civil services examinations. I personal preference to go for the one field which can open my ways for other field stoo.

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
