Know about NIT Raipur

Ofcourse I choose this college as it is one of the top institutions of our country and I like computer science so I chose information Technology in this college according to my rank.I am still in first year and in first year there is a beginning to our branch and from second year we go deeper into our branch and experience real world applications.Our mid semester exam is for 30 marks and 2 hours of duration which is manageable but end semester exam is of 50 marks and 3 hours,it is manageable to only few subjects,time is not sufficient for subjects like maths.

Till now I do not have any experience of internships but in third year we will have exams for internships.For first years there is no campus internship. But there are so many opportunities for girls and my seniors always guide and let us know what internships are there off campus and help us.

In my college,I can say that my branch has a good record of placements.We have an average package of 18lpa and highest of 54lpa.Placement percentage is also high for our branch.I didn't think about what to do after degree yet.

I pay 9180 for first semester and 8640 for second semester.I have fee wavier for tution fee.Generally tution fee is 125000 per year if any fee wavier is not applicable.students of EWS get fee concession of 2/3rd if tution fee if they gave income in total family income 1lakh to 5lakh.students who have income less than 1lakh don't have to pay tution fee.Students from SC and ST also don't have to pay any tution fee and it doesn't depend on their income.All students must pay other charges including caution fee, internet charges,exam fees which will be around 20000 per year.

We have many fests,our annual fest eclectika conducted by club sanskriti is in the month of February every year it includes celeb night too.Our tech fest is Aavarthan conducted by team technocracy which also mostly in dec-jan.Our annual sports fest Samar conducted by shourya club is in January of every year.We have library in which we can access books related to our course and can prepare for exams .In classroom we have both blackboard and a projector.Sports competition will be held occasionally in college but you can play any time with your friends.There are both NCC and NSS clubs in our college.

For first year students,if they get hostel, each room consist of 4 members. Everyone has their own bed, cupboard, table and a chair. Each room has two fans and 4 lab connections. Meal quality is average. You should apply for hostel and in first year you will get hostel according to distance between college and your home and merit basis. Total hostel and mess fee is around 60000 per year.

Actually I didn't apply for any college.I written JEE mains exam and I got a rank of 27463,through josaa and csab councelling I got this college.I got VNR college from state exam councelling,but I chose this because it is NIT and more opportunities and we can improve our communication skills well.

Some faculty are good and some are average.When it comes to our branch related subjects CP and DSA , our professors are good.We have one mid semester exam and one end semester exam and end semester exam will be tough compared to mid semester exam.Nearly 10 students fail and they can write supplementary exams. Course curriculum is manageable and good.

We have central garden, left garden, sovereign garden, vachan, amul, canteen etc to chill or hangout. Both campus and hostel in timings are 9:30pm.Till 9:30pm it's safe inside the campus.But still everyone should be careful about themselves.
