Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very updated. And now the college is upgraded to university, so more relevant courses are added. The curriculum is prepared for placement preparation mainly. No improvement is needed as such.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies visit the campus in third and fourth year to provide internship opportunities and that is known as practice school. Companies like spikewell, nirmalya visit the campus quite often majorly students choose web development projects.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year I paid ?2,25,000 as tution fee. The fees was same for all srudents. No scholarship were offered by college. Students may opt for government scholarship. The govt scholarship should be applied online and college authority will approve it.

Campus Life

The campus life is best in Silicon. Almost every months there used to be some type of small events. And annual tech fest also happens evey year. The campus is very disciplined. And we can find a lot of greenery in full campus.

Admission

Silicon is academically very strong and strict in comparison to other colleges. And most importantly the fees was nominal. I applied for kiit but the fee was very high and professors are not well experienced also.

Faculty

For every 30 students there is a faculty. So the faculty-to-student ratio is very good. Faculties are very helpful and friendly. Almost all faculties are good in their own way so no complain against any one. There are total 8 semesters and 8 mid-semesters.

Interview Experience

There are some companies who conduct group discussions or else companies direct take interview. In group discussions generally current topics are asked. First there used to be a writter coding round, then group discussion and then final interview.

Night Life

Night life is very lively in the college campus. The hostel gates used to be open till 10pm. There are many places to sit and gossip in the campus. There are 2 separate gyms for boys and girls. There is cafeteria inside the campus where some delicious items are there in the menu.

The excellent university of odisha

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

Every year, the average salary package stands at 7.5 LPA, while the highest package reaches 21.5 LPA. The majority of companies that participated in the placement process were startups. Leading recruiting firms include Teach Mahindra, IBM, SBI, Accenture, among others. The placement rate is an impressive 90%, which is quite favorable. Overall, it is a commendable college in comparison to many others.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the third year itself. In this placement season more than 90 percent of the eligible students got placed in several companies. The highest and average are yet not known. Several companies visited the campus with prominent ones being Microsoft, Dell, Xerox, Flipkart and more including several startups. Silicon university College review.

In ojee counseling i had taken cet, vssut, silicon, and igit. In cet which is now outr i didn't get the branch which I wanted due to less jee percentile. In vssut and igit i was kind of getting the branch i wanted but my parents were not agreeing to send me out of state or out of district. And other than all these colleges i had options of kiit, iter(soa), and cv raman iter and cv raman were actually a bit far from my home and daily travel would have been very hectic. Kiits fees structure is too much all though my father was very interested for my admission in kiit but who tf would give 4 lakhs for engineering or btech course.
