Likes

The academic rules and regulations, strict exam policies
Class attendance need to be exact or more than 80 percentage
Strict hostel rules and regulations make the hostel free from ragging

Dislikes

The checkin and checkout time limit for students in hostel was very early which is not appropriate for an engineering students
The holidays the college gives is very less which is only 14 days a year
The meal quality needs to be improved certainly

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed this as my dream was to be an engineer. An unique Faculty advisor is allocated to every 15 to 20 students. Faculties are mtech qualified from recognized Institutes like IIT, NIT, IIITS. Two exams occur in every semester one mid and other end semester. And the difficulty level was moderate.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We get unpaid internship from first year only where we pay some amount of money to college and get it where we learn a lot. From 6 semester companies visit to college for placement and give amounts upto 6.5 lacs as stipend

Placement Experience

This college has 85 to 90 percentage of placement. With more than 50 percentage of students having multiple job offers in their hand. Core and non core companies visit the college. Highest placement last year was 33 lacs per anum and average package was 3.5 lacs per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 1.5 lacs per year and the course fee is 6 lacs. E medabhruti scholarship was given to eligible students. Total fee waiver is also there. The fees generally increase 25 to 40 thousand every year

Campus Life

The annual fest named zygon and annual technical fest named Noesis occurs in may or June every year. Desk, AC, black board,projector are the amenities in classrooms. Basket ball ,badminton, cricket, volleyball are available for students. Silicon students council is run by students.

Hostel Facilities

We get AC and non-ac rooms, generally 3 sharing with study table , a chair and a locker for each student staying in a room. Meal quality is more than average. Registration in canteen is done through college Erp.

Hostel Fee: INR 41000 per year

Admission

Admission is done through ojee counselling in which jee mains rank is required. The seat for CSE closes at 150000 rank .Then Ece and Eee goes upto 5 lacs after which Aei goes upto 7 lacs. Provisional and spot admission is also there

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the third year itself. In this placement season more than 90 percent of the eligible students got placed in several companies. The highest and average are yet not known. Several companies visited the campus with prominent ones being Microsoft, Dell, Xerox, Flipkart and more including several startups. After getting a degree if I am able to land a job the ok otherwise I will start my preparation for the defence sector or civil services.

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

Placement Experience:

So talking about placements then the placement trainings get started from your 5th sem onwards and you will be trained upon diff params and from 7th sem onwards campus drives gets started and around 30 companies visits each year and all the mncs comes for campus drives starting from pwc , Deloitte , accenture to tcs , infosys and ibm . So you will get ample opportunities if you have 60% score in your career

Placements are definitely there for coaching centres in my branch. Many big and reputed coaching institutions like akash, byjus etc came for recruitment. More R & D comapnis can be included. the nterview process and the packages were decent for the role offered.

Silicon university College review.

In ojee counseling i had taken cet, vssut, silicon, and igit. In cet which is now outr i didn't get the branch which I wanted due to less jee percentile. In vssut and igit i was kind of getting the branch i wanted but my parents were not agreeing to send me out of state or out of district. And other than all these colleges i had options of kiit, iter(soa), and cv raman iter and cv raman were actually a bit far from my home and daily travel would have been very hectic. Kiits fees structure is too much all though my father was very interested for my admission in kiit but who tf would give 4 lakhs for engineering or btech course.
