Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum feels little bit more as we shifts directly from school to college in schools we study one subject in a year but here we have to complete it in 6 months which seems more but the teachers efforts to complete the course is increadible

As iam in first year I have not any great idea about projects but the college provides us with 3 internship and one practice school in the whole btech career it provides opportunities to learn web developement graphic designing etc

Course fee is less as compared to other btech colleges our college also provides scholarship to well deserving and provide with loan facilities to economically week students the college placement is also very good

This college has different clubs and house for both technical and entertainment related opportunity which provides experience to the students this college celebrates it annual fest known as zygon every year the collection of books in the library is vast and the college have a special book bank feature in library which provides books to students for entire semester with no cost

Admission

I took admission in CSE branch this college take students through their jee or ojee score the eligibility criteria for CSE is above 85 percentile you can directly come to the college and took admission you can also apply through online

Faculty

All the faculties of this University are well trained and qualified to understand the mentality and what kind of teaching he/she wants there is no shortage of teachers and the ratio of teacher to student is enough.

Placement Experience:

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

A balanced blend of learning,growth, and memories

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly comprhensive covering core subjects in the first two years and advanced electives like AI,cloud and Data analytics later, which influenced my decision to join. It balances theory with labs and projects,preparing students for real-world applications and higher studies. Exams are held twice a semester plus finals with moderate difficulty. Improvement is needed in making some courses ore practical and updating a few outdated topics.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Remarks:

College is surrounded by beautiful nature. 7-8 km from college is Hirakud Dam which is the longest Earthen dam in Asia. The Place Burla which college is located is away from traffic and city chaos and is very peaceful place to roam around for getting peace of mind.

A good university with a good environment. Healthy atmosphere.

Remarks:

KIIT University is a heaven on earth for students. I would suggest. Please do apply for this university if you are interested and you won't regret. The only bad part, it's a private University. And people don't realize it's worth saying it's not a government University so they won't be able to provide jobs. It's a myth. Infrastructure and exposure wise this university is the best.

Entrance Preview:

JEE mains and my score was 145. My percentile was 95 in boards. I chose this college partly because my brother has passed out from same college n partly because it has a good reputation in case of campus placements. Nearly every student is placed from campus only.

Silicon university College review.

In ojee counseling i had taken cet, vssut, silicon, and igit. In cet which is now outr i didn't get the branch which I wanted due to less jee percentile. In vssut and igit i was kind of getting the branch i wanted but my parents were not agreeing to send me out of state or out of district. And other than all these colleges i had options of kiit, iter(soa), and cv raman iter and cv raman were actually a bit far from my home and daily travel would have been very hectic. Kiits fees structure is too much all though my father was very interested for my admission in kiit but who tf would give 4 lakhs for engineering or btech course.
