Remarks

Positive remark: Each staff of our college, Facilities are good in my experience. They provide free time for playing the sports like cricket, basketball etc.The canteen of our college is also good. the cost of the foods are little bit costly.

Course Curriculum Overview

Actually i took the course in this engineering college was Computer Science and Engineering. Because i am interested/like this course. This computer science is my passion to study, to understand, to know the information of the Information Technology field, to know about the new invention discoverer in the world though by Information technology research. I selected the computer science course from high schools it self(8th std).

Internships Opportunities

Yes, National Institute of Engineering college provided a internship on 7th sem of final year. they provided stipend of 1500 cash at the end of the 7th sem. I did my intenship in based on Android application Development in VSG Software Solution in Mysuru.

Placement Experience

Placements and Job opportunities are better compare to other VTU engineering colleges. In 2018-2019 year batch more companies visited to our college for recruit the students. More number of students from our Computer Science branch got placed in company. But i did'nt get a single company but i attended the all interview but also i did'n t got.

In our college more events are held like Technieks, Hackathons, Quiz, Sports, Techrunner etc. Among this events Technieks is the very beautiful and all students take part in these event held on a month of march between 5-7 on every year. these event held in 3 days.Hackathons are held to increase the experience and knowledge of the technology for future. For winnings they give a bonus price.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure of the National Institute of Engineering college is Expensive. For each and every thing we should pay for it. The exam (make up exam) fees also little bit costly. Now a days in our college the fees structure is slightly changing from previous year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship and Loan Facility is good but i didnt apply for scholarship but my friends suggestion is the Scholarship they provides is depends on caste, exam score assured in previous academic years(10th and 12th). Loan Facility: Loan facility is also good, they provide the loans on basis of terms and conditions and firstly he/she must and should open the bank account in the college branch after the joining to the college.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities, Labs, Sports are good. Labs in Computer Science Department is good because from last 2years they have updated computers by replacing the higher end computers and new ones the lab rooms are large enough to occupy majority of the students. sports activity is also good they conduct compitation as state level, National level compitation.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel Infrastructure and Facilities is good. I didnt get experienced in the hostel because i leave in mysore. but there is a security for the boys and girl hostel separate outsiders are not allow to enter the hostel.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Senior Students are helpful regarding placements exam structure.They tell about placements like about there experience held in the placement process and they give some ideas how to prepare for it.

Exam Structure

In NIE college Exam Structure is highly secure because till now in my academic years exam papers or internals papers did not get leaked. Exam paper difficulty is medium. Faculty of our department help to know about the exam paper structure.

Admission

I got Admission through Management quota. First i got the 2nd Pre-University of college result through that i searched each and every colleges in mysuru before getting the results of Comman Entrance Exam. At last i joined to this National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru college. My cousin and friends suggested to join this particular college. My brother and cousins also studied in this college.

Faculty

Faculty of our National Institute of Engineering college is good compare to other colleges. In my journey of the engineering through first sem till end of the year each and every faculty of the computer science department teaches well and in detail and they understand clearly particular topics from the subjects.

Academic Curriculum- they constantly upgrade the subjects which needs to be taught
Labs - very well equipped labs for all branches.
You can choose to drop a lab and do it in winter break or summer break

Dislikes

very less holidays only 3rd saturday is holiday and they dont give holidays for jayantis and all
Auto drivers near the college. this is pure daylight robbery

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

Faculty Experience and Mentorship : Experienced faculty : The faculty at SVIT is often described as appreciable , knowledge, and supportive . professors are well - versed in there respective fields ,and many have industrial experience .
Placement support : Strong placement record: SVIT hasa good placement record ,with many students securing in top - tier companies like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, Infosys,. The college guidence through placement offers traning .

Dislikes

Collaborative Environment : Group project and assignment is core elements of curriculum with many course designed to involve group work and collaborative projects.
Cultural Activities : Are not celebrated more in semister
Collaborative learning : Communication barrier in larger teams especially working with different backgrounds or academic disciplines.

Placement Experience:

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . Average package: The average salary package offered is ar8 4- 5 lakhs per annum. The placement rates at SVIT is consistently high . On average , around 80-85% of eligible students get placed in good companies.

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

Overall the college is good

I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k . The admission to this college was through the KEA entrance exam. The state board conducts an exam called K-CET after regular board exams. One can take admission through comedk, and also management seats are also available. You should contact college administrators through their website.
