Honest College Review of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College.

I chose this curriculum based on my interest and suggestions from many seniors and my guradians. Although I had many expectations from this curriculum that it would make me industry ready and job ready but my expectations were shattered when I saw the ground reality. The course is outdated and teaches some invalid things which do not serve its purpose in the field of engineering. Improvements can be done to improve the curriculum and teaching methods. The syllabus should get updated on the basis of industry needs and the focus should be more on developing practical skills rather than theoretical. Exams were conducted ever 1.5 months and the difficulty level of the exams are average.

First year fees structure Registration fees-1500 Tuition and development fees-111256 Medical charges-1500 Book Bank fees-2900 Activity fees(one time only)-10000 Career Planning and placement(one time only)-10000 Caution money(refundable)-5000 Total fees(for first year)-142156 After first year the fees gets reduced to around120000 and remains constant for almost till the fourth year SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS College does not provide any scholarship, although students from EWS,OBC,SC/ST can avail scholarships under UP government schemes. For OBC,EWS students the scholarship is around=63500 And for SC/ST students the scholarship is around=120000

Campus life is bit average, not many fests are organized by college. There are many cafeterias and canteens in the campus. The classes are not air conditioned although they are being installed. Classrooms are equipped with a green board and a smart board. For sports there is a big ground and there are competitions held(inter-branch) for every sports. There are many clubs run by students 1.software incubators 2.csi 3.verve 4.taal

Each hostel room has the following facilities A table, a chair,fan , bed with a matress, a wardrobe and a balcony. Bathrooms are common for each floor. The quality of the food is good and menu is changed on seasonal basis. Four time food is provided in a day. Hostel are alloted on the basis on first come first serve basis. The fees of the first year hostel is-130000 I think it is affordable as compared to other private colleges.

I chose this college because I got this college based on my JEE rank. I applied to many colleges I also applied for JSS but its cutoff was very high as compared to my rank JEE so I could not get selected. To get admission in this college you have to sit in UPTAC online counselling and you'll get alloted if you have JEE rank under the cutoff. 85% of the seats in this college are reserved for UPTAC counselling. and 15% are reserved for direct admission.

Faculty of this college is well qualified. Most of the teachers have done their post graduation in their respective fields and have done their graduation from IITs and NITs. faculty that I liked the most was my maths teacher from semester 1 and engineering physics teacher from semester 2 because of their work ethic and behaviour towards students. There are no faculty that i don't like Each semester there are two sessional tests, and one Pre university tests. These three are necessary for Internal marks out of 30. The final exam of the semester is called University Tests which comprises of 70 marks The total marks is 100 for each subject The difficulty level of the exams is average, ver few students fail. The course curriculum is a bit outdated.

Every students favourite hangout spot is civil lawn and there is no night life in this college. for girls hostel in timings is 5:30 pm and for boys its-8 pm This college is situated on Delhi-meerut expressway and it is safe to roam around at night there are gym in the hostel and few cafeterias and a big civil lawn to hangout.
