I chose Computer Science and Information Technology branch beacuse I have always been interested in developing software applications. Also we can solve many real world problems efficiently. Apart from this the field provides competive salary in the market. The course curriculum is a blend of technical subjects along with other relevant programmes. The teacing methods involve smart board, ppts, word files and also traditional methods. The teachers use the technology very well. The exams are conducted in two shifts morning and evening.The exams have moderate difficulty and are easy to pass.

The students become eligible for internships from third year but the college does not provide NOC. The officaial leave leave is provided at the end of third year. During the third yerar Personality development programmes are conducted to prepare students for the upcoming placements. The focus of these sessions is on aptitude and softskills. The companies for job hiring come in 4th year. These include TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, DeltaX, SHL etc. The hightest oncampus offer was 22lpa and the average is about 4.5lpa. I dont have the exact percentage number of placed students but the majority students who are prepared well for the placements get into good companies, also some students go for higher studies and competitive exams.

The fees for the first year is about 140000 including the counselling fees and for the rest of the years the fees is 120000. The scholarship is provided by the UP government to the students who have completed their education in UP and are residents of UP. The amount of scholarship amount is about 50000 for General and OBC.

The AKGEC campus is very well maintained and is full of greenery. The college is said to have German Architecture. The classrooms are spacious and are well ventelated.The lecture theatres and labs are equipped with all the required technologies like smart board, wifi, mikes and speakers for improved voice. There are multiple technical events organized by technical societies, whereas, the annual events include freshers, farewell, kite flying, Diwali fair etc. The sports festival SAKSHAM is organized annually and other sports events are frequently organized to boost the enthusiasm of the players. The college also has multiple technical and cultural societies and an NGO which is run by the students. All these groups are said to provide exposure to students and give an opportunity interact with peers as well as seniors .

Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is one of the best colleges of the AKTU University. It is believed to provide the best academic curriculum and placements. I got this college through the counselling in the very first rount so did not have to choose between any other colleges. The college takes admission through JEE and UPTAC score. The cutoff for CS and related branches is approximately 93 percentile and above . Other than this one can also get into college through direct admission which includes the college test and is followed by a PI. The admission process is kept very smooth and the college is helpful with every query.

The college faculty is highly qualified. They are approachable and have mutual respect. The faculty-to-student ratio is about 50:1 at a time. I wont take names but most of the teachers give good guidance, feedback and mentorship and actively engage with students in their projects. The college conducts sessional test and pre university exams before the final university exams to ensure that the students are well prepared for the academics. The faculty also gets involved with weak students to improve their performance. The course curriculum helps the students to clear their fundamentals and also prepares students to learn and implement advanced concepts.

The campus has an open gym in the campus. There two cafeterias , one in the CSIT block and other in the Mechanical block. Entry timings for the girls hostel is 6pm. The famous hangout places are both the canteen and the civil lawn. The night life in college is not that chill. The hostel timings are quite strict.
