Likes

The college crowd and the overall community is so supportive here
The food in the canteen have a huge variety including thalis and all and its so tasty as well.
Our college has one of the best football team in delhi university.

Dislikes

Overall the total Infrastructure is not very good at all, the whole campus have speedy wifi internet but doesn't have infrastructure.
MLNC doesn't have any amphitheater and auditorium but atleast they're building one after the NBCC grant to MLNC.
MLNC doesn't have any Hostel services in college campus till now.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have intrest in archaeology that's why I opted this course for better, vast and deeper knowledge of the course. This course can be enhanced by making changes like giving students practical knowledge also.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Various of companies such as deloitte, PwC, ZS, KPMG, Bajaj Capital, etc who used to offer internships including stipends. And mostly these internships are used to give Bcom or BA prog students of the college.

Placement Experience

In MLNC 5th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like deloite, KPMG, BAJAK CAP. PwC, Wipro, etc used to visit here. Highest package offered till now in MLNC is 18.7 lpa approximately and average package is about 6.2 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm now paying approximately 15000, for B.A Program (History+Political Science). The Delhi University doesn't provide details regarding Tution fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, etc. But they provide the total amount students have to pay (i.e. mine is 14895). Some of my friends are from Bcom and Bsc is also around 15000.

Campus Life

Fests like PHOENIX and KAAFILA as annual and cultural fests. Other fests also organized such as MILAAN, LITCELEBRATE, etc used to happen in the starting of the year and middle of the year. Our football team is one of the best football teams in DU.

Admission

Delhi University allots colleges according to thier marks in CUET examination. And college is selected accordingly to the marks students have gained. I applied for some north campus colleges like hansraj, hindu, srcc and south campus colleges as well like venky arsd.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is low obviously. Faculties are amazing here and some of them give thier best while studying. Basically delhi university conducts the exam for all colleges under du. The level of examination is medium not very hard.

Night Life

There is Satya Niketan nearby where are all GYMs, Cafeteria, etc. MLNC doesn't offer any hostel. The locality is totally safe to roam outside even at midnight, there are hangout places like Tea shops, Cafes, Restaurants and mini hotels.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Miranda House College + Hostel Review

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Placement Experience:

Placements is for 3rd year students. Many good companies visit our campus like bajaj capital, oberoi group. Highest package is around 22 lakhs. We have a lot of internship and placement opportunities come in for students.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. Honest review of Pros and Cons of DCAC

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral).My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.

It is one of the best college of Delhi university among 10 colleges of the university for my course that is Geography honours. All the faculty members are of good nature and experienced in their subjects

Overall College life experience.

Along with Gargi college I chose some North campus colleges too because of high NIRF ranking . Due to high cut-off and belonging from a general category usually students are not able to crack north campus colleges. This is the main reason why competition is high and seats are less of we look at yearly registrations. You need to give CUET right after completing 12th standard in order to get into top ranked colleges. This college is not good enough for upgrading skill and knowledge.

I have applied many college such as IPU and other colleges of DU IPU have very costly and expensive fees structure where in DU have cheap. But DU addmission is based on CUET marks.
