Likes

Teaching staffs are well educated , well versed in their subject matter and very sincere
Very friendly and hospitable environment..The people in the campus are all very helpful and kind and always ready to help in any situation
The campus is surrounded by trees and is relatively colder than the main city ..also the campus is good for walking and jogging

Dislikes

During practicals ,weather is very sunny in most days and there’s hardly any shade around the fields for sun protection
Practical hours are very hard and they focus more on physical labour than machineries
More into local language so the outsiders might face a little difficulty for sometime but you’ll get used to it after sometime

Course Curriculum Overview

I liked the horticulture course especially the floriculture part and agriculture extension is also an interesting subject ..Economics is also an interesting subject The theory to practical or real world application is a bit different

Campus Life

There are many feativals but mostly done in local languages despite it i loved it and the university library has wide variety of books to choose from and has all the books we need to prepare for any exams

Hostel Facilities

Good rooms with spacious cupboards and beds , it can be double or triple seater rooms..mess food is not bad and is affordable especially for st/ sc category people The hostels are regularly cleaned and maintained by workers

Hostel Fee: INR 1500 per year

Admission

I applied to 6 colleges in south India ..Got my current college in second round and didn't Upgrade it due to time constraints..I got my seat through icar selection through st category and got the seat

Faculty

Faculties are mostly very approachable and very well educated and knowledgeable and well versed in their subject matter..Almost all faculties are very very helpful and kind except some very few who might not be that good but it depends on the students-teacher relationship

Night Life

The college night life is almost non existent especially for the girls as the hostel timings is 7:30 pm and if you happen to be late you have to pay late fine of rs 100 per night and the night life might not be safe for girls

very good and affordable college with good hostel facilitites.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was very well structured with both theoretical and Practical exposure. The curriculum is designed in such a way that they are very relevant to real world , this also prepare the students to the real world applications and further academic pursuits. The improvements can be made in the practical part of the courses. There must be regular field visits and utilisation of funds to bring innovation. The internal exam would be after 2 to 2.5 months after the commencement of the semester and practical exams would be immediately after 10 days of the internals. The external or final exams would be after a month of practical exams. There will be enough time to prepare for the exams from the commencement of the semester but there will be no study holidays and gaps between the exams.

In this course placement is very low but other competative job is many more.5th semester students are eligible for compus placement. Fertilizer and agriculture engineering companies are visiting in this college. 3 lack package will given in company. Average 9cgp will taken every student. My gole is KAS will study after degree.

The course curriculum is fully based on botany particularly Horticulture like fruits, vegetables, flowers, plantations, medicinal, and aromatic plants. I have chosen this because many govt jobs are available in this field. Our class has nearly 58 students. All professors are M.Sc. or Ph.D. with NET-qualified lectures. 3 exams will be conducted in a semester.
