Remarks

Overall the college has a very good positive environment and helps us in any possible way to keep our interests into academics. The best part is their interaction with us and helps us gain focus, control over situations (if needed in personal life too).

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course consists of 4 semesters in which the first 2 semesters are general and same for everyone. The last 2 semesters are into the specialization that you opt into. The course offers 6 specializations out of which a candidate can choose one and master in that. The college follows the concept of credits system which a candidate needs to earn for every semester i.e., 25 per semester. Total will be 100 that has to be fulfilled to get the degree.

Internships Opportunities

The college so far doesn't have much internships offered. Very few countable companies approach for internship and the intake by them is also less. Expecting them to grow in a couple of years. But as a student you're free to approach any company of your choice and get into their internship programs provided the college has to be aware of it.

Placement Experience

4

The college has amazing placements. Very good companies approach and every year more than 70% of students are placed. The highest package bagged is around 25 lakhs. The placement cell is so good and actively working on getting the best for us. Every information is immediately circulated to each department and eligible candidates can approach.

College Events

4.5

Our college is extremely fun and enjoyable when it comes to have a learning session by conducting an event. Every weekend there will be a specialized activity conducted by the seniors. Once in 2 years the whole department celebrates management fest called Vishesh and every year the whole college campus celebrates Udbhav fast which interacts between whole college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is very feasible when your come through Entrance exam i.e., less than RS. 1 lakh per year. Only if your from the management quota it's gonna cost upto RS. 6 lakhs for the whole 2 years. This fees excludes many small matters like college uniform, association fees and much more. But it's all less than a lakh as mentioned for one year. It's all a one time expenses.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not much aware of the scholarship provided by the college but it's true that you do get it only to those who are in need of it and should be qualified enough to the required standards, then only you're eligible. Loans are easily offered as it's not that difficult to clear in MBA. People who come here are very intelligent and hence maintain good academic records which are required by the banks offering loans.

Campus Life

4

The college offers various extracurricular activities which developes interests in students and one can indulge into their areas of interest. The college offers various clubs where anyone can approach. Few clubs are Dance clubs, photography club, poetry club, etc and much more to go. Sports are conducted annually and it's fun to have a competition within the department as well as the whole college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are good but not upto the mark as many of them have moved out after one year's stay in Hostel life. Quality isuues are there when concerned to food and sharing. It's very strict maintaines everyday attendance. And the worst part is the fees it's more than what you pay as college fees. It's not recommended for those who are a party freak but very recommended for those who are only study oriented.

Alumni/Alumna

The passed outs are very friendly and fun to interact with. Once a semester they do visit and college also helps in connecting us with them. The alumni meet are usually organised by seniors and are so useful regarding the information they provide us. It's again a kind of fun learning activity for us.

Exam Structure

The college is affiliated to VTU but runs Autonomous. Hence the college has its own governing body which regulates the exam structure. It's valuated on CGPA system.

Admission

Initially I took up the entrance exam, PGCET. Secured a rank of 2179 which was quite a shock as I had no possibilities to get admission into this college. Luckily the caste quota played the role and I got into the college with this. The criteria is the tank should be within 300 to secure a seat here for those not opting a caste quota. Then I got the admission order after choosing the list of colleges where the KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) offers the student to enter upon our requirements. Then the list generated will show whether you've been selected by those colleges or not. If selected the admission order will be released and then need to be approached to the college for the final process.

Faculty

5

The college faculty are the best part and they teach on very realistic character in and around us. Theory is just an explanation of the textbooks but here they give out every possible relation to the practical world and case studies are a major part of their teachings. The faculties are highly experienced and holds Ph.D's in their specific field of interest. They group certain students under certain faculty's guidance for better interaction as well as relationship among the students and faculty. They train will accordance to the corporate requirements and also act as guardian.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
