Course Curriculum Overview

4

My ultimate aim to take this course was the key aspects which will help me to prepare for professional exams. There syllabus helps me to crack my professional exams easily and their teaching technique helps me to retain the information for lifetime. Faculties were too friendly they help you to prepare for ur placement interviews and helps for your overall growth and development.

Internships Opportunities

1

My personal experience of internship opportunities in our college was bad. I had applied for an online internship programme through placement drive of our college. They had conducted a online test and was been shortlisted, they were giving 15k as stipend for working with their company for 3 months. But unfortunately they cancelled their internship with us in the last moment

Placement Experience

4

From the third year of the course or programme the placement process starts, various companies conducts interviews for the candidates. Last year two students were recruited in Deloitte and 2 students in Asian Paints. Highest package one can expect is around 3-4 lacs per annum depending upon your interview experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of The Mulund College of Commerce typically varies depending upon the course and the programme. Here's general breakdown of the fees but note that this figures are approximate and could change. Its always a good idea to check the college website or visit the college for most up to date information. 1. Undergraduate Programmes a) Bachelors in Commerce( BCOM): 10000 to 25000 per year. b) Bachelors in Accounting and Finance( BAF): 30000 to 40000 per year. c) Bachelors in Banking and Insurance ( BBI): 30000 to 40000 per year. d) Bachelors in Management Studies (BMS): 30000 to 45000 per year. 2) Post Graduates Programmes a) Mcom ( Commerce) : 20000 to 35000 per year b) Mcom ( Accountancy or Finance ): 25000 to 45000 per year. 3) Other Fees a) Examination Fees: Around 1500 to 3000 ( depending upon your course and programme) b) Library fees: 500 to 1000 c) Miscellaneous Fees: ( sports, cultural activities, etc) : 1000 to 2000 These figures can fluctuate slightly based on factors like course changes, development fees, or any extra charges for special facilities. Scholorship and Financial Aid: The college may also provide scholorship and financial aid to the deserving students, particularly for those who are outstanding and having academic excellence and achievements or financial need. You can inquire about these options at the time of admissions. Its best to directly visit Mulund College of Commerce admission office or visit their website for the precise and current fees details. The fees structure for category students for eg ( OBC, ST, SC, NT) is comparatively lower from other general category students. Reserved Category students are also eligible for various government scholorships and fees concessions which can overall reduce fees burden. a) Bachelors in Commerce ( BCOM) : 8000 to 15000 per year. b) Bachelors in Accounting and Finance ( BAF) : 15000 to 25000 approx. c) Bachelors in Banking and Insurance (BBI): 15000 to 25000 per year.

Campus Life

4

Our college is famous for its fests, one of the biggest fest named " MCC Spectrum" which is conducted every year in december, Most of other colleges participate in this fest The Library of our college is quite huge and you will find various books of different categories over there. they also promote sports by conducting inter college competitions.

Admission

Mulund College of Commerce was always been my first preference and i got my college in the very first list. The reason behind choosing this college was majorly because of its reputation and placement history, also the teaching technique which will help you in your long term. The admission process of the college was quite complicated, firstly we have fill their application form from the website and attached necessary documents with prescribed fees and on the alloted date we have to submit physical copy of form and prescribed documents to them.

Faculty

4

The Faculties teaching for Under Graduate Programmes were to friendly to talk with, use to clear doubts even before exams. They use to conduct weekly tests for each chapters which indirectly prepares the students for their finals exams and builds confidence. The faculties conduct 2 exams a year and 2 internal exams, the difficult level of practical subject is too high as compare to theory subjects. Theory exams are quite manageable. My favourite teacher was " Pramila Dsouza" mam she use to teach law subject to us also she was our class teacher.

Night Life

4

Our college was too strict they won't allow after 8pm activities to be conducted in college premises, even during traditional days they won't allow us to wear sleeveless blouses for girls and shorts for boys Mulund is famous for its food, you will able see variety of food stalls over there and the locality near our college is very safe even during nights.

Placement Experience:

After the 4th-semester students are eligible for campus placement. I have visited SBI Bank and I got only a 1-time offer from them. The highest package from them was 75000 and the average package was 35000. Above 85% of students are getting placement. After getting the degree I will do a 2-year bank course and then I will do the job in a bank or somewhere else where I can work.

Remarks:

College is really good and strict about attendance and discipline. Unfair means are not at all tolerated. It is fair in treating every student equally. The faculty and infrastructure are good. The placements are not so great but college is trying its best to get more firms. The college conducts various personality development programs like K-school to help the students with interviews.

The management of the college is pretty helpful. They would respond quickly and wouldn't keep us waiting for long. They would always listen to the students point of view, even if they wouldn't use it. The Dean is very approachable and students can meet her at any point.

College Management is is okay, okay, well they manage everything on time but their lunch time clashes with student's lunch time or the time which can bunk for paying our fees, exam forms etc. But somehow it can be managed by submitting fees and all before college time starts. Except this this my college's management faculty manages everything on time, there is good communication between management and students and faculties, transparency is there.
