What Students Say
Likes
- The management is good. Staff is really good. The college focuses on student's academics and there are a lot of extra curriculars available for students.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure. There is no such campus to roam around.
- Sometimes there are no rooms for the students, as a solution they have opted online lectures once a week.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are many practical subjects. As per my bms... all subjects are oriented towards business and makes us prepare for the knowledge... like business law, business economics, accounting, statistical research, organisational effectiveness, logistics and supply chain mamanagement, commercial banking and financial services etc. Teaching methods, most teachers opt for powerpoint presentations and majorly not use textbooks to reduce rote learning. They ask to refer to the textbooks for understanding the concepts better.
Internships Opportunities
There are internship opportunities in our college. This year the college had government internship which was given to very few colleges in maharastra where MCC was the one. Students have opportunities to intern in the summer break and now being under NEP, its necessary for every second year student to do internship in the summer break.
Fees and Financial Aid
For first year fees were Rs.23235 for general and obc for sc/st and others were under 10k. For second year fees are Rs. 25k-26k. For third year fees are Rs. 27k-30k. The fee increases for the upgrading year. Yes, this college provides with scholarship each year.
Campus Life
The students are very active in running the clubs and hosting events. The main event spectrum is held in december mid. There are various fests organized by each department thus giving opportunity to every student to participate. The event exposure helps the students in networking and improve personality. The college also has natyakarmi (theatre). Its amazing to experience once. Library is pretty big and u can find various books according to your need.
Admission
Admission process was very simple... Filling the declaration form with your picture and signature in online mode and Sumbmitting your marksheet and certificates of domicile or any applicables and payment of fees through online sources
Faculty
As the college is autonomous and under NEP, the exams are medium- difficult. There are 2 unit tests and 2 final sem tests, one unit and final each sem. The students are able to maintain and improve their grades. As for course structure, its very relevant. There are new subjects for each semester. Mostly teachers opt for ppts as a study material and not textbooks so there are less chances of rote learning. Faculty is very supportive and also help them with their personal growth. They also support for extra curricular clubs and guide students for it. The thing which I dont like is struggling for the attendence when participating in the extra curriculars said by our teachers.
Night Life
Cafeteria is average... its clean and pretty much hygenic. The college has no hostel. As for campus, college has a multi purpose turf and auditorium hall. The college is located besides the Mulund court. And is very close to station.
