Course Curriculum Overview

4

From starting only I like civil engineering so as soon as I got the chance in the Delhi technological university I grabbed it. And for the curriculum, it's so so good. I don't know much actually I am in second semester of the first year, so I don't know how well the circular prepares me for real applications of academics. I think every college should focus more on their core courses, and the teaching method should be related to the real world not just the bookish world. Every two months there is an exam. And difficulty level of the exam is sometimes made, and sometimes high, but never low.

Internships Opportunities

4

As I am in my first year, I don't have much internship opportunities. I will have to apply for them off campus, but during the third year, we will get the opportunities of in campus internships from a college and kind of many good companies like Microsoft also come here for internships. Stripe ends are also good.

Placement Experience

3

placement of my college is decent just like the IIT and there is internship opportunities to seven semester students becomes eligible for campus placements many company and many companies have visited our campus like google Microsoft LNT and many more highest package from our college is around 1.2 crore an average varies from branch to branch. If we take average of all branches will be approximately 14 to 16 max per year percent of students getting placed on just like other colleges approximately 20-30% in my plans after getting the degree to open a construction company that's why I'm studying civil engineer because I have interest in this field.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year in B.tech are 1.47, 1.55, 1.63 and 1.77 lacs respectively. In addition to that Student Welfare fee is around 20 thousand each year, facilities and services charges for around 36 thousand, Economically weaker section fund for 10000 and Examination fee for 15 thousand. No fee compensation for pwd students but sc/st students do get compensation. No merit scholarships are available inside the campus. Scholarships are provided to students with economic weaker section after interviews. For hostel students, the hostel and mess fees totals 80 thousand. A student can apply for student loan.

Campus Life

5

In the campus, you can socially connect to very young minds and innovative minds, and the societies here are very effective like the E cell which I am in. And the fests of DTU are so mind-boggling an infrastructure is impressive. I can really say that in respect of infrastructure it can give competitions to very higher IITs. They also Engi fest held during February in the library infrastructure is very impressive. The quality and quantity of books are very high and Sports complex is very impressive.

Hostel Facilities

2

I live in type two Hostel so the Hostel facilities are not so good. No proper Wi-Fi are installed installed but not in perfect operational use mess food is so so like you can just eat, but you won't like them. There is no fix menu for station of Hostel. You will have to go to the Dtu site during the course payment and you will have to pay for the mess too for applying for the Hostel and you can rent a room or PG also around the college.

Admission

DTU as a better environment than other colleges, which I got to know after I took admission or got selected during the counseling, but why I choose this college was just because of its startup culture and the most important was that it is in the capital city Delhi if I compare this college with IIT's and placements are like the tier 2 ideas with the campus feel is like awesome as I was of Outside Delhi quota so my rank was little more required than inside Delta students so I took commissions during the end time. And the admission process is not so hectic, but as I know in every government college, you will have to wait and contact many people for the process.

Faculty

4

For 1 subject one teacher is for around 60 to 80 students in every section and approximately 5 to 10 subjects are per semester. Faculty to student relationship are also good. Some professors are like friends with some strict and they are approachable too like some of them really help you during your midterms but some are not approachable too. I am in Second semester, so I don't know many professors, but one of my favourite professors in first semester was Dr. Sudarshan K Valluru who was the professor of electrical engineering department, was my lab professor and also Robert sir who was my civil lab teacher in first semester and in Second semester he is my statistics and probability professor about my dislikes some of the professors are very strict and not about disliking them. The year is divided into two semesters and each semester there is two exams when is mid terms between the semester and one is at the end of the semester after the practical. the passing ratio is quite good in 100 friends around 234 people students fail.First year in engineering college is not relevant for any of the courses.

Night Life

5

If you live in the Hostel of the college campus, you will enjoy too much the whole year like there is cafés inside the campus like the Del tech which is open till 2 AM night so you can wander around go there and eat something. There is also a gym in sports complex. There is Raj Soin. There is hymns Café the locality around the campus is not so safe at night but the college is totally safe so it's just awesome to live here at night the green tree environment. I just love.

The placement here inDTU is quite decent Various tech companies and companies of finance and consulting in non tech domain as well as core roles are also offered. The students are eligible for campus placement from 3rd year onwards starting from internships and placements in 4th year , students are free to apply internships from 1st year onwards the hods and faculties are quite supportive in providing the LOR. The proffs of core branches are supportive in providing research opportunities also And famous companies like EY, JP Morgan Chase and ICICI Bank as well as all tech companies recruite from DTU , and because of the brand name of college there are several off campus opportunities too

The on campus placement are quite good here even for the code branch. The training and placement cells works really hard for students to land onto best ones. Also regular meets and sessions are taken for students of first second third year's to guide them further by the seniors to let them know about the upcoming events and hackathons so as they don't miss out on anything the seniors also guide the students about the essential skills they should learn and provide them roadmap for the same The highest package this year is quite good and the average package is also decent last year average for mechanical was 8-9LPA which is expected to increase this year for cse and circuital branches the avg package is around 25 LPA or even more
