Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well-structured , balancing theory and practical applications, with a focus on industry relevent topics. It equips students for higher studies or employment but sometimes it lacks practical session the course is well know in the industry also have a vast opportunities it brings students to take this courses. As said before course has a perfect balance of theory and practical knowlagde for both Higher studies and industries. more labs and workshops will help this course much more attractive to students. Even though syllabus is little bit hard but the adequate timing exams leaves students stress free

We have been given for intership opportunities at different companies like FACT, IOCL, FTRI, KELTRON, REALIANCE etc. Internships at both government and private sectors are available. Easy access to every company like these are very easy

Collage itself has a high graph in placement and the department itself gives out almost 78% of students placement every year which is a very High amount cusat has selected as a very High ranking universities in all over the world attracts the company's to get it's students to their company that act as catalyst here

Fees and Financial Aid

The department of instrumentation at thrikkakara campus offers a BTech in instrumentation and control engineering, including regular and lateral entry programmes, with distinct fees structure for 2025. For the regular btech programme, all india merit students pay Rs.23820 which includes, a tution fee of Rs.17740 , caution deposit of Rs.1500 and other charges like lab fee Rs.610 , sports fee Rs. 530 and stationary fees Rs. 470. NRI students pay Rs. 59300, with a higher tution fee of Rs. 53220 while SC/ST/DEC students only pay a caution deposit of Rs. 1500

Campus Life

Various international clubs like iEEE, SEDS, and etc have been here in cusat for a long time which enhances the students relationship with various aspects of social structure also nourishing theirs technical knowledge.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel with 3share bedrooms and one guest with consent of the inamtes is a well maintained hostel . Have a regular mess with quality food for students having options of both veg and non veg with a very affordable fees maximum upto 3000/- per month . Hostel registeration process is really simple and online and anybody can have an access to it

Admission

I only applied for the other collage for bachelor of science biotechnology I left it there just because I wanted to get instrumentation in cusat also the other collage had very poor infrastructure than cusat that's the sole reason

Faculty

Faculty members very supportive of both accademical and non accademical activities. Most of them are very good at their field professors here are mostly done their researchs and have doctorates. The course structure goes along from basics of Btech to the core subjects availing the opportunity of students in the current instrumentation field. And there are are two internal examination and and one external examination in each semester. Every subjects in every semester is out of 100. If you scored 50% in every subjects students can pass the exams

Night Life

Campus itself is like a mini city with two resturants, a sports arena, gym, students store,medical centre, University library which is open till 11:00 pm Also have lot of hang out spaces with great ambience campus is a whole of 300 acre withe every area having access to everywhere. Also has both girls , boys, foreigners hostel with timings of 11:00pm and negotiable for PhD students. Also kochi has the best night life in Kerala makes it more rich

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA.
