Course Curriculum Overview

Even after NEP cover our course but I still think there are some outdated things included in your curriculum but as it's not only our college problem the curriculum is set by guwahati University so every college under there university have same problem

Internships Opportunities

Previous college don't used to give us intership but now under NEP college is provided us support to land our first internship as I am a b.com student I landed my internship under one of the famous CA which give me initial knowledge of the real world experience

Fees and Financial Aid

My course of b.com is provided by govt of Assam so it's have very low fees which is collected per semester first semester which is around 4950rs and second semester it's around 500rs ... And you can apply for any scholarship which is provided buy govt of Assam or govt of India

Campus Life

Our college is very focused on different types of social aspects you will even there are some time of the year when you will notice different they of event happening in everyday including club activities, guest special,sports events, etc

Admission

I choice this college as I want to be in college I have heard about it a lot it have a good reputation in our state... I also get selected in GCC( guwhati commerce college) but I choice this college over GCC as I want to my overall development as a person not only in academic terms

Faculty

Faculty members of commerce department are very experienced and help full they are ready to help you in your problem.. why have to give 2 exam in one semester one as internal exam which contains 20 marks and end sem exam which contains 80 marks

Night Life

I don't leave inside our college campus as I am not a hostel that's why I am not able to comment on they but as I know it's just oks hostel Life is totally different then I living right now on pg(paying guest)

The golden days of my life

Placement Experience:

The CACHAR college provide very good placement to the student in every year. in every year almost 10 to 20 student got placement in various company. Last year TCS and Mahindra company visited our college and required the student from the college. All the recuited student percentage more than 75%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculties are very nice, and each teacher in every department is good. Sessional exams are conducted by the college and final exams by Guwahati University. Each class consists of 100 students maximum. The minimum depends according to the admission criteria. Exams conducted were not too difficult as sessional exams are conducted by the college and the college provides guidance whole conducting them with proper implementation.

I choose the bachelor of commerce I choose it because it was well famous college for the commerce stream. The student ratio was 60:40. Very good teaching process. All faculty were well educated. Always on time taking the exam It depends upon student studying and sincerness. Although it was moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bachelor of Commerce has always been attracting me since I was in my school. I wanted to study B.com because I wanted to learn about the subjects in it. Being a girl from a family background of handling business for me knowing about this subject would have been really helpful. The faculty-student ratio of 1:4. The teaching methods of our teachers are really good and quite interesting. We had assistant teachers also teachers with PhD in subjects Term exams were always on time and also difficult to crack if not studied.

About my college

Remarks:

I didn't have any negative remarks until last year. So there was a mistake on my form fill up. I put the right details and selected my subjects. I have selected English as my MIL and submitted my form. But when I get the admit card I got to know that my MIL subject was selected as Assamese which I never selected. Then in the examination I gave the ex for English and didn't gave for Assamese as my subjects wasn't Assamese. I told the teacher who signed my examination copy he told that it will be fixed but on the results day I got to know that it was marked as absent in the MIL exam because I didn't sit for the Assamese examination which I did because I was English student. Then I asked them they said to get my sessional exam marks from the HOD of English department. I went to the HOD and she said that the copy in which they put the records is with the commerce head so I went to him. He said he didn't have the copy and told me to get to the HOD I went back to HOD she said she didn't have the copy. Both of them didn't have the copy for which I didn't able to fix the problem. It's not cool.

I applied to various colleges but I confirmed Darrang College because this college is near to my home as compared to others . I didn't got rejection from other colleges. I didn't make it there because the course I wanted to study was not there . The admission process is merit based . Improvement in Sports activities needed

I applied for EFLU (Shillong Campus), Central University of Karnataka, Tezpur University, Gauhati University and Dibrugarh University and some of their affiliated colleges like Darrang College, DHSK College and many more. I did get pass through the merit lists of Karnataka, Darrang and DHSK. I had to choose Darrang because the last date for admission in DHSK, I was unable to go there due to personal reasons & I forgot about the Karnataka application form.
