Admission

the first reason to choose this college over other colleges is tha it is constantly on rank 1 for many years so obviously i wanted to study in this college. faculty quality of this college is more research oriented compare to other colleges like hindu college, st. stephens college. known for its academic rigor particularly in science and humanities and it has excellent infrastructure and labarotries especially for science students. Admission process: students need to register online through the DU UG Admission Portal. The portal opens in May-June each year. candidates need to fill application form and after that DU releases a series of cut off lists base on which students are selected for admission, once the cut off is declared shortlisted students needs to visit college for document varification and after varification students can pay their fees and secure their seat in the program. 1. I have applied to colleges LSR, Hindu, DRC, St. Stephens college. and i got confirmed admission from DRC college which is also a girls college but after that i also got selected for Miranda House college , and i already wanted to study in this college beacuse of various factors like it is one of the top colleges in India. and this college has more researh oriented faculty than any other college. and as I am a science student so this factor had pulled me into this college. 2. yes i got rejection from st. stephens college because it has interview in its admission process and i was not able to clear it at that time so i was rejected. 3. Admission Process: Eligibility- Student must have completed their class 12th examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics as their main subjects and must meet the minimum required percentage for admission. Admission procedure: Students need to register online through DU's official website and fill out the application form providing their personal details, academic qualification and course preferences and after that DU releases a cut off list

Placement Experience:

Gargi, like most other delhi colleges, has a standard placement cell. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards, but most requirements happen during the final year. The companies that visit are primarily ed tech based ventures or marketing, HR firms and sales firms. A few that have collaborated over the year has been EY, Decathlon, Urban Company, Deloitte and so on. in terms of packages, the highest that had been around 15-17lpa, and the average package is 4-5lpa. About 20-30% of the batch gets placed during placement interviews while many try to pursue other opportunities or off-campus venues.

as the everyone know for computer science b tech is the best course but there is to much rush for b tech and i dont want to waste my college life or campus life on engenerring degree which dont give me placements thats why i choose for bsc hons cs in du to enjoy the campus life. if you study well in this course it will definately help vo in job interview making your resume good and skills better. the teaching method should be more practical than doing on notebooks or oraly. the datesheet and timings of exams are preety good and the difficulty of exam are moderate the ones who prepares will definately score good marks and can maintain better cgpa.

Placement Experience:

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.
