Course Curriculum Overview

4

I like accountancy and the B.Com(Hons.) course is very much related to accountancy The BCom Hons course is one of the most prestigious course of DU, and SBSC is famous for thst The NEP curriculum is multidisciplinary and helps in overall development of students The teachers are not well taught for the subjects they teach in NEP, like the Accountancy teacher is also teaching Ethics and Culture or other minor subjects without proficiency The exams happen every semester (every 6 months) and are not at all difficult, even if they are difficult which is usually the case with accounts, the checking is linient and you get good marks overall

Internships Opportunities

4

College provides internship opportunities through a student led society which provides opportunities specially during summer break or einter break with mass company internships The internship projects are mostly of sales and HR profile and rarely of any other

Placement Experience

4

Semester 5 onwards, students are eligible for campus placements Many prestigious companies come to the college and does mass hiring, unlike private colleges where they pick a few, Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Zomato, Delta, BCN, Intellipad, Preferred Square, Accenture, Grand Thornton, Ditto Insurance, D.E Shaw Highest Package was 22LPA and lowest was 3LPA About 50% of the students applying for placements get placed overall in some company with average package of 5-6LPA I am planning to pursue C.A after college

Fees and Financial Aid

12,250 Rs. is the annual course fee which includes all the charges of library, all facilities, tution fee, lab fee which includes 180Rs of tuition fee Pwd Category has a fee of Rs. 125 Management Quota has a fee of Rs 2205

Campus Life

4

The festivals are on a small scale due to caution by the new principal regarding discipline The library is one of the best facilities in college with almost a large variety of books available online and offline There are certain rioms equiped with smart screens projectos ACs Sports are good enough in college specially football There are close to 40 societies run by students for various purposes and causes

Admission

Other than this I only applied for Indraprastha University, Delhi where I got admission in VIPS ehich is one of their best but Delhi University is more prestigious than IPU according to many people so I preferred SBSC No I did not get rejected from any college but my score was not enough to apply for North Campus colleges of Delhi University otherwise I would have applied and preferred admission there The eligibility now is through a common entrance exam called CUET and the average score required is between 730-760 Marks out of 800 Marks to get admission in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, General Quota

Faculty

4

Each subject teacher teaches a class of 70 students and the girl boy ratio is close to 8 Boys to 1 Girl Some of my favourite teachers are Meetakshi Ma'am, Pallavi Ma'am which are a good combination of teaching well and liniency I didn't like Vijay Vrat Sir or Vikram Meena Sir, their teaching style is very casual and not focused on how much the students are retaining There are 7 subject for first 4 semesters (2 years) including 4 major and 3 minor subjects after that there are 6 subjects including 5 major and 1 minor

Night Life

2

No gym facility but a sports room only with Table Tennis and Chess Boards, cafeteria is nice and serves all kinds of Indian and Packaged food There is no hostel in college Inside college there is ofcourse the ground, and a garden near entrance where people lay down in sunlight There is sandwich smugglers and A Happy Accident cafe just outside college to eat Select City Walk and PVR Anupam are nearby college The college vicinity is not safe to roam at night

Other Applied Colleges

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies - [VIPS] | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]

I Feel Delhi University is a more prestigious institution

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course ciriculum for bcom is good and covers major aspects like accounts, business law, management, ethics. It help understand the basic concepts and useful for future studies Ciriculum is relevant but somtimes it feel more theory based rather than a practical aprroach. More practical exposure and skill based subjects can be added There might be some needed improvement in teaching as we learn account's and management it feels boring teacher can make it interesting if theu improve their methods Exam happens every 4 month after the end semester the timing of exam is good my 1st sem happened at the December whole month the difficult was not much high my account paper was difficult as it was more tricky but the difficult was managable

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell within the colleges but numerous are not dynamic and those who are dynamic do not offer great arrangements. As it were Srcc , LSR or St. Stephens offer pleasant placements. Most colleges offer arrangements between 3 - 4 lacs but over said colleges can give you situations with normal 8 lacs. But, I would prescribe you to not go for placements but higher things because it will increment your information and assist you to advance in your work and do it effectively whereas doing work fair after graduation will not allow you to regard merely continuously needed in the corporate world.
